TBHK Chapter 98 (Or Toilet Bound Hanaka Kun Chapter 98) will cover one of the new mysteries that has popped up in the series after Mitsuba’s sudden appearance. The whole last chapter was dedicated to the life of the exorcist and the apparitions.
Though we have mostly seen series through the lens of Hanako and apparations, we learn that not all of benevolent like the lonesome spirit. They can be very mean and would do bad things whenever they are given an opportunity. This contradicts what we have learned about the world, but given the nature of manga to depict horror stories, it is on the right track.
The chapter starts as a wholesome conversation between the exorcist brothers. Teru and Kou have gotten together to have lunch for a change, as they haven’t seen other in a while. Teru assures that he can take care of the food, but the moment he enters the kitchen, Kou has to step in and stop his big brother from doing anything reckless.
Though he knew his brother could take care of anything, he didn’t know that cooking was the worst match for him. This wholesome atmosphere stays for a while until Teru tells Kou he isn’t suited to be an exorcist. Kou is shocked by this, and after listening to his brother’s explanation, he decides he still wants to be one no matter what.
Nene is a first year in the Kamome academy who has a love for the occult and the things unknown. Kamome Academy is the center of such things with its seven mysteries. The moment she entered the academy, she got to work and summoned the most popular of the spirits, Hanako-san of the toilet.
Moreover, Nene is looking to get a boyfriend, and Hanako san can fulfill any wish under the right circumstances. However, she soon learns there is more to the school mysteries as everything she knew about the seventh mystery comes undone when Hanako san turns out to be a boy.

TBHK Chapter 98/Toilet Bound Hanaka Kun Chapter 98 will put Kou to the test as he comes face to face with the thing his brother feared. Teru explained in previous chapters how Kou’s affection for No.7 (Hanaka Kum) is a sign of his kindness.
As such, he believed Kou shouldn’t partake in hunting appreciation and not involve himself in the family business. However, Kou refuses and indirectly says that he wants to follow in his brother’s footsteps. Teru acknowledges this, and the two begin to have dinner when a spirit comes knocking. Teru decided to send Kou despite his better judgment despite the danger that was coming, but even he didn’t know what was coming for them.
Mitsuba is one of the people that died a long ago, just like Hanaka. However, unlike him, he loves to mislead people and loves to tease them whenever given a chance. Though he was not as active earlier in the series, he became one of the main characters after absorbing the heart of No.3 in the school and return becoming its representative.
But before that, he was just a low-level spirit, the thing that Kou’s brother’s spirit level was about. It could be possible that Mitsuba has learned to shift his level to fool exorcists, but if anyone catches wind of that, all the supernatural will be in danger.
