Dr. Stone fans have a reason to celebrate as the highly anticipated season 4 part 2 is officially set to premiere in July 2025. The announcement came shortly after the first part’s explosive finale on March 27, 2025, and was accompanied by a new key visual released on the anime’s official website. The visual showcases Senku Ishigami standing back-to-back with Dr. Xeno Houston Wingfield, teasing that the rivalry between these two masterminds is far from over.

While the exact release date is still under wraps, the confirmation of a July launch has already set the fanbase abuzz. With the summer 2025 anime season approaching, it’s only a matter of time before more promotional material and story details are revealed. The final season promises to wrap up the story of scientific survival and strategy that has viewers since the anime’s debut.

The key visual released alongside the announcement was created by the anime’s character designer, Yuko Isawa. In the image, Senku appears calm and collected, while Xeno’s expression hints at excitement and anticipation. Their opposing stances suggest that Xeno will remain a major threat in the upcoming episodes. Fans are already speculating that Xeno may have completed a powerful trump card, which could become the center of the conflict in part 2.

Senku’s subtle outfit change in the visual hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans, sparking curiosity about how his character might evolve. Xeno’s expression in the visual reflects his characteristic confidence, suggesting that he might have a significant advantage when the story resumes. This tension between Senku and Xeno sets the stage for a high-stakes battle of wits and science that could determine the fate of humanity’s future.

Crunchyroll will handle streaming for Dr. Stone season 4 part 2, offering a same-day English dub alongside the Japanese broadcast. The first part was streamed by Crunchyroll across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. The first part premiered in Japan on January 9, 2025, on Tokyo MX and several other networks. Considering the series’ consistent global popularity, part 2 is expected to follow the same distribution pattern.

TMS Entertainment, which has animated all previous seasons of Dr. Stone, will continue its work on the final season. The first part’s opening theme, “CASANOVA POSSE” by ALI, and the ending theme, “Rolling Stone” by BREIMEN, were fan favorites. It remains to be seen if new opening and closing themes will accompany part 2, but fans are already speculating about potential changes in the soundtrack.

Dr. Stone is adapted from the original manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 6, 2017, to March 7, 2022. The story follows Senku’s mission to rebuild civilization using the power of science after humanity was mysteriously petrified. The fourth season marks the final chapter in this epic journey, with Senku and Xeno’s clash set to shape the future of the Stone World.

With part 2 gearing up for a summer release, the anticipation among fans is palpable. The rivalry between Senku and Xeno has always been central to the series, and the upcoming episodes promise to deliver a thrilling conclusion filled with strategic battles, scientific breakthroughs, and emotional payoffs. As the final season approaches, fans are eager to see how Senku’s journey will end — and whether science or strategy will ultimately prevail.
