Kindred: Plot And Spoilers
The lady saves a little child named Rufus from dying on her first trip into the past. She succeeds in executing CPR on him, but she is later discovered by a guy with a gun and finds it difficult to return to the day. Later, she saves the same boy from the flame once more. All across the show, she switches back and forth.
She eventually realizes that Rufus, who is the child of the enslaver, is somehow connected to time travel since whenever he goes to the history, she reappears close to the Weylin household. She also begins to realize that now the Antebellum was only for five years in the past and that the current time only existed for seven to eight days.
Dana finds out that other people can travel across history with her. For the majority of the series’ timeframe, Dana, the protagonist, is unaware of the reason behind her time travel. She spends hours there during her second trip to the past since she cannot find how to get away.

Unexpectedly, Dana finds herself transported to 19th-century Maryland by a river watching a white kid drown. After CPR on the youngster and saving his life, Dana is confronted by a white man brandishing a gun and asking, “What exactly is happening here?”
