Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 277 Recap: Traumatizing Death Game
Episode 277 of Boruto, named Disappearing Lives, carried on the perverse drama of life and death from the previous episode. The Thunder Train travelers awoke in an unfamiliar cabin and met a fresh figure named Ouga. He appeared to be a diminutive man and talked via a puppet and holograms.
He intended to run an investigation and see how long the travelers could endure. This signaled the start of a game in which taking one incorrect step meant certain death. The survivors were debating how to escape the game at the start of the hour in the sitting area.
At this juncture, Rokuro offered a compelling argument and employed his jutsu to root out a traitor from among them. The shinobi mysteriously perished after being exposed just as Ouga urged them to choose another scroll for the following round of the game.
The next game was titled “Light.” Each person participating in the game was handed down a candle after being transposed to a dark room, and they had to keep it lit until the stage’s end. They would die if they didn’t complete the mission.
The group made their journey through, passing through what appeared to be a sewer before reaching what appeared to be a desert. Back at the Leaf, Sarada and Mitsuki were enquiring about the delayed train and doing their best to learn more about it. Before fleeing, an inspector observed eavesdropping on them.
The gang encountered an empty arid area with enormous blades at one end of the maze. Shamo built a mud wall to defend them from a strong wind blow while the shinobi protected them and the non-shinobi guarded the candles.
They all moved into an adjacent chamber after the wind died down where Ouga, Rokuro, and other people were waiting for them. He demonstrated a bonus stage that divided the crowd into two groups of six and five persons. The complication in this situation was that there was only enough wax for 15 mins of candle lighting time.
