Centered around the Conners, this American television sitcom is released under the ABC network. The series is a renamed version of the sequel of the series Roseanne. The Conners made its debut in 2018 when the pilot premiered on 16 October.
It follows the life of a small working-class family that tries to get by on its minimal income. The show is set in the hypothetical state of Lanford, Illinois. The new show picks up where the previous one left when the main character Roseanne dies in the original series. However, some changes have been made in the storyline.

Dan Conner ( played by John Goodman) is the eldest one in the family and also the husband of the deceased Roseanne. He has three children – Darlene Conner, Becky Conner, and D.J Conner. However, D.J Conner hasn’t made an appearance since the show’s fourth season. These are the main protagonists of the show, followed by their children – Mark Conner ( Ames McNamara), Harris Conner Healy (Emma Kenney), Mary Conner (Jayden Rey), and Becky Conner Healy (Lecy Goranson).
The Conners Season 5 Episode 1 Recap
The Conners season 5 was aired very recently on 21 September 2022 under the title “Double Honeymoon and Seeing Double.” The newly married couples, Darlene Conner (Sara Gilbert) and Ben (Jay Ferguson) decide to go on their honeymoon together with Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf) and Neville Goldufski (Nat Faxon) in order to save some money. You would have heard of a double date, but have you ever heard of double honeymoon?
However, this supposed fun vacation turns into a tension-filled wrecking ball. When they reach the vacation cottage, they realize that the bedrooms they have been provided with are much nearer than they would have expected. This provides little privacy to both couples. But this situation doesn’t deter Jackie and Neville, making Darlene and Ben uncomfortable.
A heated argument ensues where Jackie says that Darlene is just jealous since she doesn’t have a relationship as passionate and loving as Jackie. This was actually in response to Darlene’s comment stating that she was amazed that her aunt (Jackie) could find someone to love her. Their honeymoon is officially ruined.
In the later section of the episode, the kids – Harris, Mark, and Beverly Rose go on to their version of a vacation with Becky and their grandfather Dan. It’s there when Mark sees a photo of his ex-boyfriend with another boy and gets upset. Harris and Mark then get themselves drunk to distract Mark from getting upset with this news. They are later caught by Dan and are then scolded.
The episode ends with Darlene making up with her aunt Jackie and resolving their issue.

The Conners season 5 episode 2 is titled ‘Scenes from two marriages: The parrot doth protest too much. The upcoming episode would follow.
When Jackie moves in with Neville, he shows up to their home with an excess of animals from his vet office; Darlene and Ben have an argument as Ben points out Darlene is turning into her father.
This episode would follow the life of the newlyweds and how they tackle these problems. It would also be interesting to see what Mark does with respect to Lucas (his ex-boyfriend). Would he try to contact him to patch things up with him, or would he also try to find a new boyfriend to move on with?
The fun and banter continue as the Conners make jokes about each other and go on with their lives.
