The game earned Parker a total of 18 points. She became the first player in the history of WNBA to reach 6000 points, 3000 rebounds, and 1000 assists. She was also the fifth person from WNBA to face 600 blocks. In the history of her league, she was the fifth person after Lisa Leslie, Margo Dydek, Brittney Griner, and Sylvia Fowles. To congratulate her on this new achievement, the Twitter page of WNBA tweeted a picture of Parker with the caption, “Continuing to make history!” More congratulations poured in as her team the Chicago Sky secured their win against Connecticut Sun.
This is not the only record Candace Parker has created this year. In June, Parker reached the third triple-double of her career which is the triple-doubles in the history of the WNBA.
