The bad news is there won’t be any In The Dark Episode this week. But the good news is that we are aware that this show has some fantastic things in store for us. After all, Murphy will soon encounter one of the most dramatic events of her life! Her trial will be shown to us, and as a result, many events from her history will be brought back into the scene. Even though the season isn’t quite over, this feels like a summation of practically everything that has happened so far.
In keeping with the group’s usual style, Episode 4 had some interesting twists and power shifts despite the hour’s majority being a bit of a drag. As the clock ticks down to Ben’s death, it’s a wonder how deep Murphy and the gang have gotten themselves into. They didn’t spend any time looking into Max’s arrest’s aftermath, which led to Murphy’s interaction with Nia, Darnell’s deception, and Dean’s case. Dean remains the worst person ever. He persisted in putting further distance between Max and Murphy to the point where Max stopped speaking to Murphy when she paid a visit.
In the Dark Season 4 Episode 4 Recap
Before diving into In the Dark Season 4 Episode 5, let’s quickly do a recap of the previous Episode. We already knew that Ben was dead, but with each subsequent episode, we learn more specifics. Murphy, Felix, and his weapon are present, but there are still a lot of unanswered mysteries. Additionally, they discuss drugs, which makes a lot more sense when we learn that Murphy is allowing Nia to utilize Guiding Hope as her new safe haven at the end of the episode.

Although Max is in prison, it appears that his heartbreak is what is hurting him the most. Murphy drove to see him, but she did not inform him that she had merely made up the breakup. Now that he is aware of Dean, he appears to be in terrible shape. We were unaware that Murphy kept the Nia money a secret from Max, and it’s the icing on Max’s “that’s f*cked up” cake, which Murphy had prepared for him. He was also almost fatally wounded after becoming the target of an attack Nia ordered. A fictional terrible lad who deserves so much better, we must go cry now.
In this episode, everyone is drawing up plans and agreements. Dean breaches a contract Max strikes with him to give up Nia’s safe house in exchange for Dean keeping Max safe. Darnell devises a strategy to defeat Nia by allying with her adversaries, but Murphy’s strategy to preserve Max’s life is directly at odds with Darnell’s strategy (and screw Dean over). In order to keep Max safe, Murphy informs Nia about the safe house raid before Darnell and Dean (thank GAWD). On this issue, we are fully on Team Murphy, but Murphy will need to face her trial now. In the Dark Season 4 Episode 5 Release Date & Preview
In the Dark Season 4, Episode 5 will release on 11 July 2022 on The CW. Episode 4 is titled “The Trial of Murphy Mason”. The episode is directed by Dinh Thai and written by Jess Burkle. There won’t be any In The Dark episode airing this week because the show doesn’t want to compete with the fourth of July. Episode 5 is going to be part one of a two-part event.
The Synopsis of episode 5 is as follows: “The day of Murphy’s trial has come, and she must now deal with all the ghosts from her past who have testified against her and the secrets that are exposed along the road. In the meantime, Felix’s awkward reunion is brought on by the trial”.
