K-Pop singer Dawn (formerly known as E’Dawn) has been in the industry for a while now. The singer with a unique vocal quality has won the hearts of many even before officially debuting. Dawn has been a soloist since 2019, following his departure from boy group Pentagon and the label Cube Entertainment. He had written many songs for Pentagon, even when he was not included in one after he announced his relationship in public. Here, we’ll tell you a few of the best Dawn songs that you need to listen to right away if you haven’t already. Dawn has three singles, but there are more tracks of his with other artists, which include his labelmates or former group members. He also released an EP in 2020 called Dawndididawn with five tracks.
Dawn almost didn’t make it to the K-Pop industry, but he finally was able to debut. Probably the only thing that fans are thankful to Cube Entertainment is for giving us an artist like Dawn. Singers and composers like him come once in a while. Plus, Dawn, along with his labelmates like HyunA, who also happens to be his girlfriend, have broken stereotypes. His open relationship with the singer is widely loved, and the duo has released some gems of songs together, which will get their honorable mentions here. Let’s check out some of the best songs DAWN has given us.
Dawn’s Best Songs:
1. Organic Song
Organic song is a song written by Dawn. The song is performed by Dawn and his Pentagon members, Wooseok, Yuto, and Hui. Dawn even performed this song on the survival show Pentagon Maker. Many of the viewers fell for his charisma and unique style of singing. The beautiful vocals of the other members and Dawn’s rap harmonized really well. Eventually, the song was a part of Pentagon’s debut EP “Pentagon” and also a part of Spark’s OST.
2. Money
This one is the debut single of Dawn’s career as a soloist. The song came out in November 2019. It was his first song on his new label, P Nation. Another interesting fact is that Dawn and HyunA both made their fresh start on the same day relating their solo tracks. It was promoted as the couple’s comeback with P Nation. P Nation’s CEO and global superstar Psy has also contributed as a songwriter and producer of the song. The solo song debuted at number 11 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales.

3. Ordinary Night
This song is a part of Dawn’s 2020 EP Dawndididawn. The song is a lovelorn melody that is very beautiful to listen to. Even though it’s a sad song, the melody isn’t like the usual slow one like most sad songs do. Fans always talk about his rapping skills. But, this song makes Dawn’s vocal side shine too. It’s the kind of song that you won’t cry to while you sleep but rather listen to it while you take a walk outside on a gloomy day. Truly, it is one of the best songs by DAWN.
4. STILL
STILL, too, is a part of Dawn’s EP Dawndididawn. The song also features labelmate and popular singer Crush. The song is a perfect representation of a fight between any couple. Both the people are hurting and fighting all the time but can’t leave each other because their love for each other is much more than those fights. A fun fact about the song is that Dawn confessed he wrote this song after he had a fight with his girlfriend HyunA. Fans were left in awe, as people usually write about the beautiful things in a relationship. But writing a song about a fight speaks volumes about his love for HyunA.
5. Ping Pong
We have mentioned HyunA here so many times that it would be unfair if we don’t mention one of their songs together. The best songs of Dawn would be incomplete without this song’s mention. The duo was previously part of a group Triple H on Cube Entertainment, where they released songs together along with Pentagon leader Hui. Ping Pong comes as the couple’s first song for their collaborative EP 1+1. HyunA and Dawn have participated in the songwriting of the track. The song trended heavily as Hyuna and Dawn are everyone’s favorite K-Pop couple, and both of them are known for their different take on K-Pop music. Ping Pong won awards for the Best Collaboration and People’s Choice Award in 2021’s Asian Pop Music Awards.
