Otakus are connected not only by the story anime and manga gives us but also by the characters anime introduces us to. Introduction to these characters feels like we meet so many new people through our screen. However, it is interesting to take a step back and realize that these characters are born from the minds of humans. So, the most important people to Otakus are the ones that are the creators of the things we love.
Thus, when an artist passes away, we all also tend to feel a sense of loss. Earlier this month, the famous scriptwriter Hiroo Matsuda passed away. Last week, the saddening news of the demise of the mangaka Mio Murao spread across the anime world. Yet again, it is said that artists never really die as they live on through their art. Mio Murao, too, lives on through his art.
