It was surprising to a lot of people that the Royally Ever After filming happened in Ireland. But the producers really wanted the essence of Irish locations in their film. Even ‘Royally Ever After’ is half produced by an Irish company, Zanzibar Films, which makes it perfect. All the royal scenes of the movie were filmed at Markree Castle, Ireland.
And Ireland is known for its beautiful, rustic landscapes, which made it a perfect filming location. Even the actors had a great experience filming there. And they not only filmed but also stayed in an actual castle during the shoot days.
The actress who plays the lead role talked about her experience in Ireland, saying that it was beautiful. And she also added that staying and filming in a castle made her feel like a real princess. Which helped her get in the shoes of her character
“My room was beautiful, and like my character, I would actually go running in the morning, so I got to live what I was filming.” she continued.

The Cast of Royally Ever After
The actors in this movie are a mixed bag. Although the movie is half Irish and half American, the cast has Scottish, British, Irish, American, and even Canadian actors. Fiona Gubelmann plays the pre-school teacher and main lead – Sara Dimarco. Whereas Canadian actor Torrance Coombs plays The Prince, Prince Daniel. Other amazing actors, including Barry McGovern, Carmen du Sautoy, and Rebekah Wainwright, play The King, The Queen, and Princess Fiona, respectively.
This great ensemble of actors really brings the characters to life. And with their amazing acting, they take you to the world of princes and princesses. Gubelmann even gushes about her bond with co-star Coombs saying, “Torrance is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.”

More About the Story
Royally Ever After is about Sara, a school teacher who unknowingly falls in love with a Prince. After the Prince of St. Ives pops the question and reveals himself, Sara is stunned. However, because she loves him, she goes with him to see his family.
Although the family seems to be happy, they are just pretending. The Prince marrying a commoner is the last thing they want. But eventually, everything works out with the family’s approval. And Daniel and Sara get their happily ever after!
This movie is actually loosely based on Loretta Chase’s book of the same name. Apparently, there’s a sequel book as well, but no news of a sequel movie so far. Also, this movie was released in 2018 after the actual royal wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle. Which kept the viewers captivated.
