Go Go Power Rangers… (Some electrical guitar music), Go Go Power Rangers… (Some electrical guitar music), Go Go Power Rangers… We’re ranking down Top Yellow Rangers… Man those were the days when Power Rangers were really classic. I used to wait the entire day just to watch a single episode. But now it has become more of a childish show, or maybe I have grown I don’t know. Anyways, today we will be focusing on Yellow Ranger, we’ll go through every season and rank out the Top 10 Best Yellow Power Rangers out of them.
Usually, I didn’t care about The Yellow Ranger because Red Ranger was always my favorite (I mean why not), but after thinking about them now I feel like they were an important part of the team, always there to help other rangers and sometimes even out shinning the Red Ranger (Red is still my favorite). Yellow Ranger was always a part of every power ranger squad, most of the time they were female, and sometimes they were guys; I always used to enjoy a guy Yellow Ranger because they were the sarcastic ones. Be it a guy or a girl the Ranger Squad always used to feel empty without a Yellow Power Ranger.
So here are the Top 10 Best Yellow Power Ranger Ranked:
10. Maya – Lost Galaxy
Maya (Cerina Vincent), who grew up on the planet Mirinoi, was familiar with the story of the quasar sabers and then had tried, but failed, to extract one from the stone. Before the quasar sabers replied to her and those that would become the Galaxy Rangers, she had to run through a wormhole and seek help when her family was attacked. When her planet was frozen to stone in the conflict that followed, Maya had no choice but to leave Mirinoi behind. Maya had never lived in an established civilization, at least not one as high-tech as the interstellar colony ship Terra Venture.
She was forced to learn not just what is required to be a Power Ranger, but also how to fit into a society she was unfamiliar with. Maya’s ability to communicate with animals came in handy for the squad, as they had no mentor and had to figure out their own zords, which this time were living beasts rather than robots. Her whole time with Power Rangers was spent, of course, trying to find a way back to Mirinoi and save her people. Despite this, she remained dedicated to the team once they all ended up on the same planet, and she even flew to Earth to assist the Power Rangers in the next season.
9. Chip Thorn – Mystic Force
Chip (Nic Sampson) was a fan of the magical and mystical even before he discovered he was going to be a Power Ranger, just like Dustin in Ninja Storm. Chip, on the other hand, was a believer in fairy tales and mystical characters, rather than the Power Rangers. Chip was overjoyed when he discovered he was a Power Ranger with the ability to perform magic.
Chip’s enthusiasm for all things mystical meant he didn’t always have the finest grasp on reality, which didn’t always serve him well because it made him easily sidetracked. His feeling of loyalty, though, served him well in his duty as a Power Ranger. He would do anything for his team, even if one of them was transformed into a vampire, as he showed when Vida was in that situation. Chip was always ready to stand up for his friends and teammates, no matter the cost.
8. Trini Kwan – Mighty Morphin
Trini (Thuy Trang), the first of the Yellow Rangers, led the saber tooth tiger zord for about one and a half seasons before departing from the series. Trini was gentle and caring, not to mention soft-spoken while being one of the team’s most strong fighters. Trini was not only skilled with a variety of weapons, but she was also a kung fu master. She dedicated additional time to perfecting the art of the praying mantis, which came in useful when she was forced to face monsters alone.
Trini, along with original Power Rangers Jason and Zack, were chosen to join in a teen-run International Peace Summit in season two, thus she didn’t get to feel the next degree of power the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reached into — ninja power. In actuality, the actors who performed the characters in the non-union series tried to bargain for better pay and were fired as a result. In the fictitious universe, the gang wrote letters to their friends from the top, though Trini was never seen again because actress Thuy Trang moved on to other projects before sadly dying in a vehicle accident in 2001.
7. Z Delgado – SPD
Z (Monica May) was a robber before she strapped a yellow Morpher to her wrist, and she wasn’t your normal Power Ranger recruit. The Power Rangers were law enforcement officials in the SPD version of the series, and they kept the citizens of their city in check. Before assisting the Pink, Blue, and Green Rangers in a struggle against a shared enemy, Z was one of the thieves being followed by the Rangers. She has the option of going to prison or becoming a Ranger because she was a brilliant fighter and had the genetic gift of being able to replicate herself. She clearly chose the latter option.
Z was quick-witted and sarcastic, and she was always ready for a verbal or physical battle. She only used her extraordinary skills when absolutely necessary, preferring instead to do things the old-fashioned way. She and her friend, who ultimately became the Red Ranger, stole to help the less fortunate in the style of Robin Hood. She’s not just a brilliant fighter, but she also has a golden heart hidden beneath all that confidence.

6. Summer Landsdown – RPM
Rose McIver saved the day as a Power Ranger, notably as Summer, long before she was starring like a zombie who could solve crimes on The CW. Summer’s upbringing made her the furthest thing from a Power Ranger when the show began, and this is where her problems reside. Despite her exceptional martial arts moves, she lived a life of luxury and privilege prior to the Venjix minions’ attack.
She was spoiled and selfish, and she didn’t think about how her actions affected others until her friends and family left her, leaving only her butler to save her life. Her selfless butler was the cause for her having a change of heart. Summer’s old selfishness resurfaced again and then, but she tried to make up by being overly trusting of individuals she met for the first time. Her instincts were sometimes dead-on, such as when she recruited a new colleague for the Rangers, but other times she was off the mark, putting her squad in danger. Despite this, she was a capable Ranger in her own way.
5. Dustin Brooks – Ninja Storm
Dustin Brooks (Glen McMillan) is the Ninja Storm Yellow Ranger, and if a Power Rangers fan had become a Power Ranger, he would most likely be Dustin Brooks. Dustin is a huge fan of Power Rangers and comic books. Dustin was a firm believer in the heroes while the rest of the world dismissed them as urban legends. However, just because Justin believed in Ranger legend didn’t mean he was the right person to put on a pair of tights. Dustin was at the ninja academy’s bottom of his class when the series began. He was also extremely trusting and easily duped.
Given that he was one of just three students who had escaped capture at the academy, the pool of potential Ninja Storm Rangers was extremely limited, so he was given the nod. Dustin got better control of his talents as the season proceeded, and his faith in those outside the team wasn’t totally wasted, as it brought the Rangers a few allies. He made a few mistakes, such as believing his enemy’s daughter had truly turned over a new leaf, but his desire to believe the best in people ultimately made him a better Ranger. He even became an instructor at his previous academy to guide and assist the next generation after the team’s mission was completed.
4. Lily Chillman – Jungle Fury
Lily is as kind as can be and very protective of her mates, so a cheetah-like her jungle spirit had seemed too powerful for her (Anna Hutchison). But, as Lily is one of the fiercest Power Rangers, it didn’t take long for the viewers to discover that beauty can line steel. Lily was up for anything, not just channeling the speed and strength of a cheetah as the Yellow Ranger. Outside of her Ranger duties, she was cheerful, optimistic, and a cheerleader. She, too, couldn’t get enough of the jungle spirits.
With the mastery of the green Elephant Spirit, Master Phant, who is believed to be a former Green Ranger, taught her how to utilize his favorite weapon — the mace — and summon the Elephant in combat, making her twice the problem for her foes. Anna Hutchison and Sally Martin of the Power Rangers Ninja Storm both also played friends of the main character in the Disney Channel film Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior. They also had the names of their Power Rangers heroes on them, leading fans to speculate whether they were in the same universe as the Disney film, or whether it was just a lighthearted gesture to the fans at home, given that Disney owned the franchise at the time.
3. Gia Moran – Megaforce
Gia (Ciara Hanna) was just one of those persons who seemed to be exceptional at everything she attempted. She was smart, confident, and a fantastic martial artist, and she seemed to be able to do it all, which irritated her teammates on a few occasions. Despite their dissatisfaction, they couldn’t stay upset at her for much longer, because Gia was the type of person they realized they could rely on in a crisis.
Gia receives such a high ranking on this list due to the talents she possessed during her time as a Power Ranger. She could bring the Megaforce abilities of any of the Power Rangers who had come before her, in addition to her own. While she usually used Yellow Rangers, she could call others if she needed specific expertise during a battle. Outside of her own form, her most frequently used form would be one of the Yellow Rangers from Jungle Fury.
2. Kira Ford – Dino Thunder
Kira (Emma Lahana), a gifted singer, is just one of several Power Rangers who chose a career in music. Unlike many of the other Power Rangers, the Yellow Dino Thunder Ranger used her vocal cords as part of her fighting skill set. The Ptera Screaming, a Black Canary-like sonic scream that deforms anything in front of her and impairs the hearing of the monsters she shoots it at, was one of her specific powers. Other teams took notice of her intense drive and skill to wield that scream. Kira was the only Yellow Ranger chosen to work with Power Rangers from other groups without the support of her teammates.
She was brought to the future not only to help the SPD Rangers but also to help the Operation Overdrive Rangers. It’s uncommon for a Ranger to help more than one squad of Power Rangers. Adam and Tommy from the Mighty Morphin period, both of whom Kira gets to work with, have been the only others who got to give multiple cameos in the series. Kira would be at the top of the list of Yellow Rangers (and female Rangers, for such matter) who have met with the most other Rangers as a result of her many team-ups.
1. Taylor Earhardt – Wild Force
This would be a no-brainer as the only Yellow Ranger within the franchise’s history to command a Power Rangers team. Taylor was the very first Power Ranger to be selected for the Wild Force team, which means she has the greatest training and experience in saving the day. She possessed the tactical expertise to get things done as an ex-army pilot. She also knew when to stand aside, as she vacates her position as squad leader when a Red Ranger was finally discovered.
While it may seem odd that Taylor lost her position as the Red Ranger solely because someone else was meant to be the Red Ranger, the writers expected the viewers to accept that and move on. The fact that Taylor was just a little strict in the way she conducted things helped them accept it. She even wrote a book of regulations for the team that she wanted everyone to obey while she was in charge, which the Red Ranger swiftly tossed out. Taylor eventually learned to let go of the controls and trust that others knew whatever they were doing.
