DKZ Park Jae Chan is the star of the cover of the April 2022 issue of the Korean magazine BIG ISSUE. Park Jae Chan, who played the character of Chu Sang Woo on the recently finished trending Korean BL television show Semantic Error, appeared in a pictorial and also gave an interview about his future plans related to music. Park Jae Chan, who started his career as a K-pop idol, also revealed that he would be making a comeback with his K-pop group DKZ (formerly DongKiz) in 2022.
For the cover of BIG ISSUE, Park Jae Chan participated in a photoshoot where he dressed in a collection of classic formal suits as well as breezy casual pieces like beige trousers and white t-shirts. In the interview with the BIG ISSUE representatives that followed, Park Jae Chan revealed his joy at various older songs from the Dongkiz discography making their way back to the Korean music charts. He also discussed his rising popularity and the plans he has as a singer and actor. Park Jae Chan also indulged in details of the future plans the recently renamed DKZ has related to musical activities.
Park Jae Chan On Older DKZ Songs Climbing Back On The Music Charts
On being asked about the changes that took place in his life post the broadcast of Semantic Error, Park Jae Chan chose to talk about the reverse-run of several songs from the DKZ discography on the charts. Usually, songs make it onto the music charts when they get released and slowly drop off as time goes by and newer songs get released. However, DKZ has been experiencing a lucky streak where several songs from their old EPs from 2019 and 2021 are making their way into the top chart rankings after Jae Chan’s appearance on the Rakuten Viki K-drama Semantic Error.
On DKZ songs’ reentering the charts, Park Jae Chan says, “When I was pursuing a music career as an idol in Dongkiz, it was my aim to enter the music charts with our songs. It feels very good to see DKZ songs on the charts even when it’s not our promotion period right now. I feel very touched to see people listening to and giving so much love to older DKZ songs just before our comeback.”

DKZ Park Jae Chan On His Future Activities
Park Jae Chan has revealed that he would be simultaneously pursuing both his idol and acting activities. Regarding his future goals, Park Jae Chan says: “As an idol, I would love for the general public to become aware of DKZ and listen to our new and old songs a lot. Additionally, as my acting career is concerned, I want to come back with a new acting project within this year where I can show the viewers another new side of me.”

DONGKIZ Renamed As DKZ & DKZ 2022 Comeback
The K-pop boy group DONGKIZ (pronounced ‘donkeys’) debuted under the label Dongyo Entertainment in 2018. Park Jae Chan serves as a vocalist and rapper and the visual of DONGKIZ. They officially got renamed DKZ in 2022, and along with that, several member changes were also announced. They have pursued a variety of musical concepts since 2018, and after Park Jae Chan’s appearance in Semantic Error, the Korean general public started having a renewed interest in his musical activities, resulting in older DKZ songs like ‘LUPIN’ (2020) and ‘CRAZY NIGHT’ (from their 2021 EP ‘CHASE EPISODE 1: DREAM’) climbing up in the charts.
After rebranding as DKZ and recruiting new members Se Hyeon, Min Gyu, and Gi Seok, the group is set to make a 2022 comeback where they will be showing off mature visuals as well a more mature musical concept to the anticipating fans.
