The upcoming South Korean drama Death’s Game stars Park So-Dam and Seo In-guk in the lead roles. The show has been adopted from a 2109 webtoon of the same name, illustrated by Ggulchan and written by Lee Won-Sik.
The plot circles a person on a new life but is constantly bickered by death and frustration. Written and directed by Ha Byung-hoon, the show is set to have 8 episodes.
In January 2013, the director said that the production of the show was in the final stages and was in the casting phase. The filming of the show will start in February and will be completed in the next six months.
Dexter Studios will be the co-producers and will take care of visual effects with a budget of 3.3 billion.
Plot of the show
In the show, Choi Yi-jae is looking at his stepping-down life, facing death and 12 reincarnations under judgment. He grew up in financially limited surroundings but had a kind and bright personality.
But after seven years of hunting jobs, he slowly starts to go down the depressing path leading to suicidal thoughts.
Thinking it’s his end, he faces death at the gates of hell. Expecting oblivion, but gets a punishment instead. He must face death 12 more times in different bodies to escape the clamps of hell, survival is the only way out for him.
Cast of the Show
The show has an ensemble cast, Seo In-guk is Choi Yi Jae who will be seen as a man whose wish of living has died after seven years of fruitless job search.
Park So-dam is playing Death, a mysterious body censuring Yi-jae to face 12 deaths and rebirths, and finally going to hell.
Go Youn-jung will be seen as Lee Ji-su a novelist who has been in a long relationship with Yo-jae since they were in college. Kim Ji-hoon will be playing the character of Park Tae-woo, the CEO and first son of Taekang Group.
Some other cast members include, Jang Seung-jo, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Jae-wook, Sung Hoon, Yoo In-soo, Ryeoun, Oh Jung-se and Kim Sung-cheol.

Death’s Game has been co-produced by the pair, promising the audience to give a thrilling and fascinating ride. The story is written by Lee Won-sin and Gul-chan is the illustrator.
The screenwriting and direction are done by Byung-hoon who has directed other famous dramas like Go Back Couple and 18 again.
Death’s Game is set to release on 15 December 2023. Amazon Prime Videos officially announcing Twitter about the release date. They also lauded the ensemble and addressed the anticipation surrounding the new show.
