Beauty of Resilience Episode 25 is set to release this weekend! The Chinese drama is a live-action adaptation of the novel “Wu Chang Sheng” written by Jia Cheng, which roughly translates to “Mistake of Immortality.” The story of Beauty of Resilience is considered to be a Xinxia drama, meaning it revolves around the themes of fantasy, mythology, and Chinese traditions, with there being one main hero.

Wei Zhi, our female protagonist, has experienced ill luck her entire life. She was, however, not afraid of anything and bravely attended the coming-of-age ceremony to look for the immortality root bones. In the Wei Kingdom of the Mortal World, the breeding of immortals is a popular practice, although most common men still are unable to become immortal.

The 36 members of the group that Wei Zhi was a part of during the ritual reflected a Phoenix figure in the mirror. They made an impression on everyone around them, and were assigned to the Egret Academy to continue their higher studies right away. Yan Yue was stern with the pupils at the academy, especially the kids who were born into privilege.

Yan Yue was thought to be one of the harshest teachers among the others. The reason for this was that Yan Yue was actually the Monarch of the Heavens. He had come to the Mortal World to complete a personal task that could only be carried out through contact with the human world.

According to the legend, killing the Phoenix would be Yan Yue’s greatest test. Hence he was looking for someone with the Phoenix heritage to prove them wrong. During his stay on Earth, Yan Yue was not permitted to interact with people or get involved in their concerns.

However, this turned out to be in vain when he met Wei Zhi. He began having feelings for Wei Zhi, who also happened to be one of his students, while he was working as a teacher at the academy. Will their love and affection for one another be strong enough to get them through the cruel destiny that fate has brought them? or will their love end up being the cause of their ruin?

Beauty of Resilience Episode 24 Recap (Spoilers!)

In Beauty of Resilience Episode 24, we witness Yan Yue attempting to put Wei Zhi to sleep. His actions make him emotional, as he is aware of the crimes he was about to commit once she was put to sleep. Whilst he finished his task of making Wi Zhu unconscious, the Wei Kingdom found itself under ambush and was bombarded by the enemy’s attacks.

As the enemy clan and the Wei kingdom fight to protect themselves, Wei Zhi wakes up, and as she reaches the battlefield, she witnesses her own lover slashing the throat of her beloved father. Feeling lost and betrayed, Wei Zhi was in shock as to why Yan Yue would let her down in such a way and side with the opponents.

Beauty of Resilience Episode 25 will be witnessing a battle between Wei Zhi, our Phoenix, and Yan Yue, who will end up descending as the Demon Lord protecting the Phoenix at all costs.
