Dilan gets scolded by Azade for bringing up celebrating Cihan’s birthday at the diner table. Due to the past tragic incident, call it a black day. The family doesn’t celebrate his birthday or anything on that day. Dilan was unaware of the past and became the target of Azade’s anger. Baran asks her to go to her room even though she doesn’t mean harm. She even said sorry to Cihan.
Baran was in the study room when Dilan came to explain herself. He is not in the mood to listen to her after what happened at the table. She didn’t know that black day and Cihan’s birthday overlapped on the same day. Baran never mentioned it before to her.
At Karabey mansion, all family members and friends gathered to observe the black day. All dressed in black and doing prayers to bless everyone. Dilan visits Kudret’s room and feels sorry for him. She feels embarrassed to face him on a day like this. She opens the window to get some fresh air into the room. Dilan joins them, but again Azade is unhappy seeing her.
As the pilgrim prayer is over, Baran asks Dilan to change and come down. Cevdet and Cevriye have come to watch the kid. Seyit has come to the grave of Ayten Karabey. He is guilty of being quiet all these years. Baran and Dilan have come to the graveyard, and seeing them, Seyit hides behind the trees. He asks for forgiveness from his daughter from afar for his past actions.
Dilan has a surprise birthday cake for Cihan, but Baran and Azade ruin it. She gets scolded again for not obeying the rules of the house. Nobody seems to understand Cihan’s desire for his birthday. She doesn’t remain silent and makes Baran realize they are doing injustice towards Cihan. He admits what he did wrong with Dilan and Cihan. They plan a surprise for Cihan.
Azade spoils everything again. Baran has a gift for Cihan, but Azade ruins it. It hurts Cihan, and he leaves the mansion. Dilan and Baran start searching for him. Sena finds Cihan when he is suffering a lot. Baran will go crazy if something happens to his brother because of Azade’s rules. Dilan feels guilty for everything happening with Cihan and Baran.
