Starring Liv Mjönes and Jonas Karlsson, the show is a sequel to the 2018 Swedish series Sthlm Requiem or Stockholm Requiem, which was an adaptation of a novel written by Kristina Ohlsson. Fredrika Bergman, the protagonist of the 2018 series is back again in Kapningen.

Synopsis
Fredrika Bergman, a member of the Special Investigations under the Ministry of Justice, is called to lend a helping hand in a plane hijack case. Those involved in the hijack however, coincidentally happen to be people she’s known – her former boss, Alex Recht’s son Erik was the co-pilot of this plane.
The situation takes a turn for the worse in the blink of an eye. In an attempt to save his son along with the rest of the passengers on the plane, Alex pleads help from Fredika to rescue them before one of them loses their life.
Will they be be able to successfully handle the situation and save all the passengers in the flight? Or will someone end up sacrificing their life for the well being of the rest? Stay tuned to know more about Kapningen and what happens to our characters.
Brief Recap of Kapningen: What all has happened till now?
In the previous episodes of Kapningen, Karim, the Captain of the plane becomes the prime suspect in the hijack. While Erik and Osman are doing their level best to help the plane land safely, the pressure and anxiety the hijackers have built around them along with the disruption of the passengers has made the both of them nervous.
Alex is desperately trying to figure out where the plane could possibly be as he worries about his son’s life. Eden on the other hand has his own way of doing things which make Fredrika dig into his plans out of suspicion.
As the plane is set to get into a cockpit, Eden receives news that the hijackers are planning to shoot down the Plane if the pilots attempted to do anything sketchy. Worried about the lives on board, Eden along with Bruce requests their superiors to reconsider their decision and find another solution or people will die.
Although Eden isn’t exactly the best person to listen to considering he had helped the hijacking process previously, the new threat that awaits the crew is not one they can ignore.

Unfortunately Kapningen as of yet is only available to its Swedish Audience. Airing its episodes officially on Cmore, the show will be available without subtitles. To access all episodes of Kapningen however, a subscription to the streaming platform is required.
