Usman and Kimberly went over to Mohammed’s house to ask him if they could adopt Mahidi, but Usman hadn’t let them know beforehand that he was going to do such a thing.
Taken aback, Mohammed and his wife Zainab tell them that they wouldn’t want Mahidi to go anywhere without ‘Islamic Orientation.’ Kimberly gets irritated with Usman and later, while talking to Jamal, says that she is going to talk with Mohammed and Zainab again before deciding on the adoption.
Liz and Ed decided that they were going to move to Palm Springs, but now that Liz has started working as a full-time manager in a restaurant along with a partnership offer, she is reconsidering her decision to move.

Yara wishes to stay in Europe for a little longer, but Jovi disagrees with her, thinking that she might never come back to the States. Yara, whose family arrived in Europe after escaping the Ukrainian war, wants to stay there and help them but wonders what made Jovi so mistrusting of her.
Angela and Michael meet up with his friends, who tell Angela that Michael isn’t sure about her. Angela flips out, and Michael calms her down as they leave his friends. At the airport, Michael says to the camera,” I’m back to my single- I mean, I am back to my single, married life again.”
Jenny tells Sumit’s father that they are planning on moving to America without consulting with Sumit. Sumit is left dumbstruck because he has no interest in moving to America. Sumit’s father, Anil believes that their marriage isn’t going to last more than a year or two, so he asks Sumit to break up with Jenny and find somebody else.
Sumit wants to adopt a kid and stay in India to change his parent’s mindset, but when Jenny hears of this, she gets upset and replies, ” If you wanted to have kids, why did you marry me?”
Libby and Andrei accompany Chuck to his first blind date in 10 years with a fellow cancer patient, but he ends up being ghosted. Avoiding his no-show date, Chuck feels great to have taken a step toward dating again. Andrei thinks that somebody has reported him to the immigration office.
