Jenny’s daughter Christina and her husband Jen join them for a Bollywood dancing lesson, which they all appear to enjoy. Being Indian, Sumit doesn’t feel like he needs lessons, but he soon realizes he’s a little rusty and doesn’t feel as young as he once did. In his opinion, Jenny is decent, but she needs to shake her arms more than her ass.
Christina recommends that everyone go together when Sumit mentions that he’s meeting with his folks after class. Despite her assurances that they are not there to offend them or their way of life, she expresses concern about Jenny. Sumit needs to give it some thought.
He doesn’t want to find himself having to defend his parents in front of Americans. The following day, Jenny has a covert video conference with just an Indian immigration attorney to determine what steps must be taken to bring Sumit to the United States.
Jenny is unsure of what a spinster is when the attorney asks if she is one. He adds that if somebody had filed a complaint against the wedding, as his father could have done, then Sumit may not have been able to obtain the police approval letter he needed to depart.
Andrei somehow doesn’t mind that their appointment with her siblings was a disaster, as Libby and he recounts how things went. Libby now regrets not telling Becky and Jenn what she was expecting before sharing the news via social media. In Andrei’s opinion, their preparations to attend a family counseling session are pointless.
In an interview, she claims that Andréi “could be a little rude at times, which isn’t helpful.” They go shopping for baby clothes to divert their attention in a good way, but Andrei is worried about being deported. Since his encounter with immigration authorities two months ago, they have not received any word.
If he needs to return to Moldova, “you’re going to have to come,” he says. Kimberly reveals that her mother tragically passed away suddenly a few days after she returned home to San Diego with her son Jamal from Nigeria.
After caring for her mother for the last eight years, she worries about who she will now look after. Jamal jokes about her taking care of Usman because they are both close in age. Although Kimberly claims Usman can care for himself, she acknowledges in a statement that she now wants him to relocate to California more than ever.
Kimberly has quit smoking and started to walk and work out more because she knows her mother would want her to. Kimberly video calls Usman, who tells her he’s planning to adopt his younger brother’s son to avoid having to take a second wife. She queries who will be raising him after being taken by surprise.
