A group of adventurers with a wish to see as much of the world as possible get on an adventurous yet scary trek. This simplified version easily defines the new American reality competition show, Race To Survive: Alaska. They will walk along the Alaskan coastline for a hundred miles, a dangerous and unexplored path, for a hefty monetary reward.
The show will have challenges that will threaten the participant’s lives but the show has to go on and so do the teammates. They will be forced to get in touch with their primitive instinctual survival skills and navigation abilities to survive the harsh conditions of Alaska.
The show has cast duos that make the eight teams, Bella-Cason Crane, Max Djenohan-Christian Junkar, Favia Dubyk-Genevieve Walker, Brett Gatten-Esther Sanderlin, Oliver-Wilson Hoogendorn, Hakim Isler-Justice Norman, Elizabeth Killham-Robin Moore, and Hunter-Jeff Leininger.
The show feels less like a competition reality and more like a survival show with the kind of mental and physical exertion the participants have to go through. But it will be this endurance and will that will get them to not just come to the top as the winner of the show but also get their hands on the huge prize that awaits them at the end of the race.
Race To Survive: Alaska: Plotline
The show has a total of eight teams with two members in each and they are on this hundred-mile journey along the Alaskan coastline for six weeks. Before the shooting of the show started, participants were allowed to bring with them whatever they thought they could carry with them for the six weeks and whatever that would help them survive out in the wild.
They would not be receiving any external help and would be left to their own devices to fetch themselves food, water, and a safe place to sleep. They would have to battle through the cold winter of Alaska accompanied by wild animals that might pop out of nowhere, and the rough trekking landscape.
They would face challenges throughout the six weeks along with competitive races where the loser would be forced to leave the show and return home. At last whatever team remains till the finale episode will be the winner, bagging and taking home with them a cash prize of five hundred thousand dollars.
The show will be a thrilling experience not just for the adventure-seekers but also for the audience who will get to see all the different ways the teams will use to survive, which may include backstabbing as one way.
