Can people turn their lives around for someone they love? Released on 9 June 2022, a film titled Out Of Exile followed the story of a thief on parole as he tried to balance his life while trying to stay out of trouble and mend a broken family back.
Directed by Kyle Kauwika Harris, the film stars Peter Greene in Whitman Rader’s role, Hayley McFarland playing Dawn Russell’s role, Ryan Merriman playing Agent Brett’s role, Jake Roberts playing Remy’s role, Luce Rains playing Sheriff Dan’s role, Laurie Cummings playing bank manager’s role, Oliver Rayon playing Chava’s role.
Adam Hampton played Gabriel’s role, Rett Terrell played Eddie’s, and Kyle Jacob Henry played Wesley’s. The supporting cast stars Bruce Davis playing Donald’s role, Danny Boy’ O Connor playing Devland’s role, Luke Gauthier playing the bank hostage’s role, Van Quattro playing Ruben’s role, and Connie Franklin playing Lory’s role.
Produced by Shawnee Brittan and Jeremy Charles, the film followed a group of thieves chased by a determined FBI agent. Out Of Exile didn’t land with the viewers due to the film having nothing new or refreshing to offer to viewers.
The film follows the thieves as they work towards bettering their relationships while dealing with the consequences of a botched robbery. The film failed to grasp viewers’ attention and make an impression on them. Even though the film had a powerful start, it lost the plot midway.

Out Of Exile: Ending Explained
The film starts with Russell arriving at the police station for his parole and Donald Mitchel telling him that he has met the mandatory parole laws of Texas. The film then cuts to the scene of an armed robbery, which ends with a cop getting shot.
The armed robbery is revealed to be done by Russel and his brother. The pair gets into an altercation as Russell doesn’t like that his brother shot a police officer. Meanwhile, FBI agent Solomon and Jordan, his partner, investigate the armed robbery case, and Peter informs the group about everything he knows about the robbery.
Russell has been released from prison and returned to his daily life. Russell plans a heist with his brothers after his return from prison, immediately causing trouble for himself.
Meanwhile, Solomon investigates the officer who witnessed the armed robbery and one of them having taken a shot at her partner.
Meanwhile, Russell and his gang set the car they used for the robbery on fire. Russell and his brother get into a fistfight after Russell decides to hold his money for shooting a police officer. In a fit of rage, Weasely leaves Russell and the gang after Russell refuses to give him his share of the money, and Weasely feels Russell is controlling him just like their father used to.
Meanwhile, The FBI agents continue to look at the CCTV footage and try to figure out the identity of the armed robbers. Russell drives to a diner to have breakfast when he sees his daughter working there. Russell notices his daughter has a black eye and her boyfriend is leaving with another woman after threatening Dawn.
Russel puts two and two together before deciding to get his daughter to safety. She refuses his help and is still angry at him for abandoning her. Russell has returned to armed robberies after completing his sixteen years of parole to get his little girl away from her abusive boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Weasely decides to drink at a nearby bar and uses his money to pick up a stripper. Russell repairs a car in the garage he works, while Weasley gets pissed after Dallas refuses to pay for his work. Russell drops Marcos at his home, and his wife invites Russell to join them for dinner.
Russell is saddened at the sight of Marcos spending time with his newborns as it reminds him of his absence from Dawn’s life. Russell starts to remember the time he spent with his dad as a kid, Marcos, and the two continue to talk about how Marcos scored his wife.
Russell tells Marcos that he made a mistake by involving him in robberies again, and the duo decides to do one last job before quitting for good. While the pair is reminiscing, Russell is heartbroken after learning the guard Weasely shot has died from his injuries.
Weasely fights another man at the bar after he tries to make a move on his girl. Weasely’s girlfriend asks him to leave, but things escalate, and the security has to remove Weasely, and his girl gets kicked out of the bar.
Meanwhile, Marcos starts to have second thoughts after learning about Philip’s death, but Russell convinces him that everything will be fine. Russell arrives at the bar to fetch Weasely back for another robbery. The group makes an elaborate plan to make sure they make no mistakes.
Meanwhile, Russell calls Dawn and tells her to be ready for a new beginning, and she cuts her hair following her dad’s instructions. Russell and his gang, armed with weapons, enter a band to rob it, but everything gets out of hand after another member kills Weasely.
Does Gabe Get Killed?
After the bank robbery is completed, the gang makes a run for their lives, but Marcos gets shot on the way. Gabe rushes Marcos in the car to a nearby hospital and tells him to breathe, but Marcos takes his last breath with Russell driving towards the hospital.
Russell douses the car used for robbery in gasoline with Marcos inside before lighting it up. Gabe bids farewell to his friend Marco with teary eyes before returning to the bar, where chaos ensues after Weasely picks a fight with Whitman’s people. Gabe shoots Whitman at his bar after realizing he killed his little brother.
Meanwhile, the manager hands over the envelope meant for Soloman at the bank. Gabe drives to a gas station while a battered Dawn arrives at the diner she used to work at. Gabe buys a stuffed toy for his daughter before going to meet her.
The film ends with Gabe getting shot and dying while Dawn waits for her dad. None of the thieves make it out alive after their last robbery and a pregnant dawn looking towards the sky.
