Hulu’s latest psychological drama, Saint X, is all set to start airing its limited episodes. Revolving around Alexis Schaitkin’s novel that goes by the same name, the show will feature a Girl-gone-missing storyline with mysterious characters and scenes that leave its viewers at their wits’ end.
It was Leila Gerstein that came up with the idea to adapt Alex’s novel into a series. Knowing that she is behind the director’s seat is enough to convince people to watch Saint X because she’s also one of the writers for hit shows like Gossip Girl, Life As We Know It, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Looking for Alaska. Dee Rees, the director for series like Empire and Space Force and movies like Mudbound, will also be one of the directors for Saint X.
The plot of the show will consist of a young Emily Thomas and her family heading over to the Islands for a much-needed vacation. What was originally supposed to be a good time for the Thomas family takes a dangerous turn, and Alison is found dead on the island. The show will switch between two different timelines, one which took place before the death of Alison and another that features an older version of Emily trying to find out what happened to her sister.
The cast of the series will include Alycia Debnam-Carey, West Duchovny, and many others who have been involved in shows like The 100, Fear The Walking Dead, and Painkiller. Saint X will complete airing its episodes by the end of May. The resort island we see in the show is filmed in The Dominican Republic.

Saint X: Preview
The plot of the show revolves around Alison Thomas’ disappearance while in a resort far away from home. She belonged to an upper-middle-class loving family, with Emily being her younger sister.
Both of them casually stroll around the resort, talking about the new experience and getting to meet diverse kinds of people. Alison even forms a friendship with two guys, who become the only suspects when she doesn’t return home one night.
The next day, they find Alison’s lifeless body floating around in the water. The head of the place declares her death as an accident, which ends up infuriating the Thomas family since it seems like a planned murder.
Despite their wealth and status, they can do little to find out about the death. Since it was a case that involved elements like class, race, and money, Alison’s death became the headline for many days.
When Emily is finally old enough to research her sister’s death, she tries to find out everything from the dreaded times of her life. She sets out on a dangerous pursuit of truth that not only gets creepier with each revelation but also pulls Emily closer to mysteries that could cost her her own life.
