Well, who doesn’t love a cooking competition show, especially the one that features Gordon Ramsey in it? Gordon is known for his cooking skills and savvy personality; thus, he came up with a reality cooking competition series titled Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars. Directed by Gary Shaffer, the reality show showcases Gordon challenging food industry entrepreneurs to build something unique to test their drive and skill to complete a challenge, thus becoming successful in life.
Developed by Fernando De Jesus and Bryson Payne, the series is inspired by Ramsey’s British show with an almost similar name titled Gordon Ramsey’s Future Food Stars. The lead cast of the series features the great Ramsey himself as the judge and Victoria Omobuwajo.
The contestants have to prove to Ramsay that they are worth his investment of $250,000, which is the promised prize money of the show. Produced by Amanda Anderson and Sammi Begelman, the series is being enjoyed by the viewers as they feel the concept of supporting a cooking entrepreneur than a chef is unique.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Episode 2 Synopsis
The episode begins with another challenge for the remaining 14 contestants as they arrive at Simi Valley, California. Gordon arrives in his car, ready to challenge the contestants who enthusiastically greet him. Gordon begins by questioning the contestants about the importance of funds to manage and run a business. Following this, Gordon announces the new challenge that is they have to host their gala to raise funds for the charity of the contestants.
Gordon announces the criteria he will judge their performance on with the announcement that the business owners present at the gala would be interested in investing in them if they are impressed by their performance. Gordon divides them into two teams, team blue and team yellow. Team Yellow includes Chanel, Megan, Chris, Ashley, Caroline, Jordan, and Luther, while the blue team includes Lan, Queen, Sydney, Tony, Lisa, Aaron, and Jake. The cause the team has to raise funds for is revealed to be St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of Ramsay’s favorite causes.
Then the entrance of Chris Boysen, senior vice-president of St. Jude Children’s Hospital, happens as he briefs the contestants about the hospital. Gordon also announces that one contestant will be eliminated from the losing team. Team blue is given the theme of magnificent Vegas theme while the yellow team gets a spectacular gaspy theme. Gordon reveals the challenge is to test the customer service of the contestants than to raise funds.
Team Blue is clear in their agenda and votes Lisa be their leader as she has prior experience with galas. Lisa divides the team into in-house and out-house. Yellow team, on the other hand, has disagreements, but the team decides to make Ashley the leader in the end. The contestants introduce themselves side by side as the preparation continues. The contestants decide on their menus and begin their preparation as they have two hours to make three-course meals.
Luther and Chanel get into an altercation as Luther is overly critical of everything cooked by his teammates. The blue team also faces some bumps along the way as Queen and Lisa get into an argument. Blue team is dejected and decides to up their game after Ramsay criticizes their menu. Team Yellow is also criticized by Gordon, and Ashley decides to pull Chanel out of the in-kitchen.
The guests begin to arrive at the gala, and both of the teams try to attract their attention to them. Gordon pulls the yellow team aside to tell them that they are lacking in drinks while the blue team lacks food. After the guests donate their funds to their preferred team, the time for the results comes out. Gordon begins to criticize the teams, and he tells them their plus and minus and then reveals the result in favor of the yellow team.
There was a vast difference between the funds raised by the teams, as one team raised only $20,000 while the other team raised $90,000. Sydney and Tony are saved by Ramsay as they are praised by the undercover planners while the remaining members of the blue team go in front of Ramsay. Lisa is eliminated from the competition at the episode end.

The upcoming episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Star will see Gordon dividing the remaining 13 contestants into a team of two. The team is given the challenge to create food compatible with wine, and then they will have to present their items to a room filled with Napa Valley’s marketing assistants.
