Discovery’s Docu-reality series, Deadliest Catch Season 19 Episode 16, will be coming out soon. With the captains looking forward to meeting their huge goals for the cod season, each fishing vessel is operating at the Bering Sea through the turbulent waters and gloomy weather.
Deadliest Catch first premiered on April 12th, 2005, and has since been coming out with new seasons almost every year. We can’t blame them. The show’s much more interesting and educational than it may first seem. Deadliest Catch offers a look into the lives of crab fishermen, who work day and night without any sleep to catch as many crabs/fish as they can.
The sea that Deadliest Catch focuses on is the Bering Sea, which is located in the Northern region of the Pacific Ocean. Every deck has a base, and our crew operates from the Dutch Harbor in Alaska. This particular sea is known for its high population of crabs and fish that sell for a hefty price. As rewarding as the job of these crab fishermen is, it’s also very dangerous.
Deadliest Catch Season 19 Episode 15: Recap
In Deadliest Catch season 19 episode 15, we see Keith and his crewmates hoping to reach the best spot in the ocean safely despite the bad weather and no light around. If they successfully reach the proper location on time, Keith would be able to collect thousands of eastern crabs worth almost $500,000.
Their first pot ends up being filled with crabs, giving the crew hope despite the dark and turbulent ocean. Just as things were going well for Keith’s crew, their picking boom started malfunctioning. Their winch needs repairing, but seeing the way they had to harvest crab, Keith orders the crew to work without the winch.
Back at Rick’s, the crew faces a strange problem, sand fleas. Captain Rick Shelford was hoping to collect $90,000 worth of gray cod, but all that was coming up was sand fleas. Another problem they face is smoke, which seems to be coming out of the clutch that transfers energy to the whole deck. Captain Rick has no choice but to return to the town to get it fixed before the Cod season ends.
At Summy Bay, Linda makes sure that the crew is operating well. Captain Jack explains how his vessel keeps going faster, not giving them enough time to stay and catch as much cod as they can.
Jack and Harley’s goal is under threat when their gear starts working inefficiently. Captain Jack wants to keep working despite the problem, although it’s apparent that they won’t be working at the previous fast pace.
