Ahsoka Episode 4: Ending Explained
The episode starts with Sabine Wren attempting to connect with Hera while Huyang tries to rewire the transmitter before Hati leaves to search for Ahsoka. Sabine informs Ahsoka about the comms being down and the primary power converter still offline, thus not allowing them to send a distress signal.
Ahsoka informs Sabine that if they fail to find Ezra, no one else should be able to, as the enemy has the means and map to go to their planned destination. Sabine and Ahsoka argue, with the former wanting to locate Ezra while the latter feels it would be better to lose Ezra than give Thrawn to return as the Empire’s heir.
Ahsoka asks Sabine if she can count on her or if she will betray her trust. Huyang arrives after sensing the tension between Sabie and Ahsoka and questions Ahsoka about her feelings. Meanwhile, Baylan gets his people ready to attack the Jedi ship stranded in the woods with Huyang, Sabine, and Ahsoka in it.
Huyang gets attacked by another robot while working on getting the spaceship to start again. After the power goes off again in the ship, Ahsoka realizes that her team is in danger and takes out her lightsaber to fight with the attackers.
Ahsoka instructs Huyang to prioritize the transmitter over anything as they need to contact General Syndulla, and Huyang asks them to stay together. Ahsoka and Sabine head to Skoll’s base, fearing he will be able to figure out Thrawn’s location, but are intercepted by Marrok and Hati.
The group engages in a battle that ends with Ahsoka killing Marrock and Sabine staying behind to hold Hati off after Hati realizes Sabine cannot wield the force. Meanwhile, Hera and she disobey the orders from the leader and begin their journey to Seatos.
Baylan and his team try to figure out the coordinates of Thrawn when Ahsoka arrives at their hideout. Ahsoka and Baylan get into an altercation before engaging in a duel, which ends in Ahsoka successfully retrieving the map.
Ahsoka throws the map after it burns her hands, and she gets overpowered by Baylan before he plummets her into the ocean while Wren continues to watch in horror, not being able to do anything.
After Baylan pushes Ahsoka into the ocean, Sabine holds the map at gunpoint but gets manipulated by Baylan into not destroying it. Baylan manipulates Sabine into giving him the map by promising her that she will be able to see Bridger again.
Is Ahsoka Dead?
Baylan uses the map to figure out the sub-coordinates for Thrawn, and he destroys the map before boarding Eye of Sion with Sabine and Hati as his prisoners. Meanwhile, Huyang contacts Jacen and Hera after he repairs the transmitter, asking for their help.
A battalion of New Republican Fighters led by General Hera arrives at Seatos to stop the freighter from jumping into the hyperspace. The Syndulla-led battalion fails to stop Baylan and his team from jumping into the hyperspace.
Meanwhile, Huyang tries to find Ahsoka at the ocean’s banks by calling her name. Ahsoka wakes up in the World between the Worlds, where she reunites with Anakin, her former master. Overall, the ending of the fourth episode clarifies that Ahsoka isn’t dead and will return in the second part to stop Baylan.
