Based on the Novel Series of the same name Chesapeake Shores follows the life of Abby O’Brien Winters. Abby is a full-time employee with two young kids to look after. To say she has absolutely no time to relax would be an understatement.
Even though she works full-time, she does her best to be there for her children and takes care of their needs well. One day she receives a frantic call from Jess.
Jess is her youngest sibling and is clearly bitten off more than she can swallow by taking on the renovation of the Inn at Eagle Point. She hopes to transform the Inn into a much more profitable Bed and Breakfast but is in threat of losing it to the bank.
Reluctantly so, Abby decides to help her little sister in her endeavor and moves back to her hometown of Chesapeake Shores. Back in her hometown, she is confronted with feelings she has worked hard to bury deep down. She comes across Trace Riley, who was supposedly her first true love.
Things ended badly for them as Abby up and left, and Trace seems to resent her for it. However, things do get better, and she patches things up with her old flame. In the process, she may have awoken the feelings she had for him once again.
Just when things are finally starting to go her way, she is hit with another curve ball in the form of her estranged mother, who shows up unannounced at Chesapeake Shores once more.
