The Podcast Channel Chuckle Sandwich, well known for its Amusing trio, sent an emotional shockwave to its audience with a sudden announcement that one of the members would be leaving the Team. That being Charles Dalgleish, who is better known as Charlie or “Slimecicle”. Charlie had joined The American podcast series when it first premiered on January 31st, 2021. Since then, he has been a significant part of the show, making it one of the most watched gaming podcasts.
Chuckle Sandwich was made by Ted Nivison, who had invited Charles and JSchaltt, also called Schlatt, to join the new series. The YouTube Channel releases new videos every week or sometimes once in two weeks, each lasting 1-2 hours. Their consistent and quality uploads made the channel gain almost 775,000 Subscribers up until now. The channel’s podcasts now rank #96 on Spotify, US, and #158 on Apple Podcasts, US.
The podcast often features games, guests, and general banter about anything that the members feel like discussing. It’s filled with humorous Jokes and puns that are also often weird but in a good way. “Dungeons & Dragons” happens to be a game that’s most loved by the members and audience alike.
Charlie Slimecicle: The Meat of the Sandwich
Being a member ever since the show started, Charlie was an integral part of the podcast. The group defines him as the Chaotic Good, While Ted Nivison is chaotic neutral and Schlatt is chaotic evil, making the group a fun, well-Balanced trio. This diversity in their personalities is what made the show gain so many fans in a short time.
Charlie, 23, is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer with almost 3 Million Subscribers. He plays games like Minecraft and Dungeons & Dragons. Slimecicle was also a part of the well-known Minecraft Series by Dream, “The Dream SMP“. With his witty yet smart commentary, Charles became a part of various shows over time.
He is currently a part of the exclusive Dungeons & Dragons podcast “Just Roll With It” where Slimecicle plays the role of Br’aad.

Why Did Slimecicle Leave Chuckle Sandwich?
The Group released the 54th episode on June 1, 2022, which was the Farewell episode for Charles on Chuckle Sandwich. This broke the news head-on to fans who were speculating that the rumors were a joke or just not true. But to their surprise, it was all too real, and the other members were okay with it.
In the video, Charles, Ted, and Schlatt recall their favorite memories of the series, such as almost always serving guests “Thick water“, Playing RPG games, and general discussions. It was quite an emotional podcast, with Schlatt and Ted reminiscing the part Charles played in the show and how he was the “Meat of the sandwich“.
When Chuckle Sandwich was formed, Slimecicle already had a successful career of his own. Over the years, he also became a part of many Minecraft tournaments and SMPs. Charles also has a side project, “Slime story,” where he makes soft toys from a fantasy slime world for a good cause. His new podcast series “Just roll with it” with him and his friends is his newest project.
Charles admitted that he had a lot going on at once and couldn’t find time for himself. He felt that he couldn’t give his best in everything while Handling so many podcasts and streams. This caused him to take the decision to focus on what makes him happy. Fans speculate that his newer projects may also be the reason behind the announcement. The trio request love and support from their fans for Chuckle Sandwich as well as other endeavors of the group.

The Future of the Podcast Series:
Though Slimecicle won’t be a regular member of the podcasts, he will certainly be visiting the show once in a while. Some fans think that Wilbur Soot will be replacing Charles, but Ted and Schlatt clarified that he won’t ever be replaced. Salamis, Eggs may come and go, but the meat won’t.
Chuckle Sandwich currently has 59 episodes, With Ted and Schlatt being the main hosts of the podcasts. Ted expressed that it’s been “A hell of a ride” and can’t wait to see what happens next. The Duo said that they’d be taking a break and return with many more interesting episodes.
