My Heart is Beating Plot Synopsis
This story is about a vampire Seon Woo Hyeol who desires to be a human. He had a loving partner but never felt love because his heart did not beat. Even after departing from his beloved, he wishes to unite someday and feel the warmth of love. He endures a pain of almost a 100-year sleep to become human but misses the mark by just one day.
He encounters a cold-hearted school nurse Joo In Hae, who, despite being a human, seems less like one to the others. She has shrinking finances but receives an ancestral house just in time. Little did she know that she had to share it with newly turned half human half vampire Woo Hyeol.
My Heart is Beating Episode 4 Recap
The episode begins with Woo-hyeol protecting In-Hae from a falling chandelier. When he carries her in his arms, he notices a drop of blood on her lips which makes him lose control. He kisses her, and it leaves her shocked. Woo-Hyeol has flashbacks of Hae Sun as soon as he gets the taste of In Hae’s blood. In hae asks him to put her down and slaps him.
He tells about this incident with his friends when they are visited by a blood-selling vampire Rose. Later, Woo-Hyeol visits In Hae to apologize, but she says she will consider this kiss like a mosquito bit her.
Woo-Hyeol is not happy being called a pest, and the two engage in a sweet fight. The next day, In hae has flashbacks of her kiss and cannot believe her first kiss was with a vampire. Woo-Hyeol helps Dong Seop to deliver food at the school where In Hae works at. He finds out that she is a nurse there. He also asks for a job there and gets to work as a cleaner.
He also takes out trash from In Hae’s nursing room, and she gets uncomfortable. She immediately makes him leave when a boy with a bleeding nose comes in. Later, she receives a text from Do-sik to take her out for dinner. She agrees. Woo-Hyeol stops by a butcher’s shop when he smells blood. The owner turns out to be a nosy lady from the neighborhood who starts doubting him.
At home, Woo-Hyeol meets Yang Nam and tells him about the flashbacks he has of Hae Sun. Yang Nam tells him that In Hae’s blood is too cold for him, but if she falls in love, her hot blood will turn him into a human.
Do Sik drops In Hae’s home, and Woo-hyeol notices them. The next day, a boy dumps a smoldering cigarette causing a fire. All the blame shifts on Woo-Hyeol, but In hae comes to his rescue. She proves him innocent.
Woo-Hyeol keeps thinking about how protective she is. He also calls her by the name Hae Sun and suspects that she has reincarnated. Meanwhile, Do Sik is at the airport to pick up Miss Na, and she looks exactly like Hae Sun.
