If we have to credit TLC for anything, it is for its ingenious way of producing reality shows that showcase people from all walks of life. And in the case of Sister Wives, now going for an eighteenth season, the tried-and-true approach couldn’t get any better.
This upcoming season of Sister Wives won’t be like the others because Kody Brown, the family patriarch is now down to only one spouse because of his demeanor and lack of communication; this season will likely delve into what it’s like for Kody to live like that.
Now, is he going to stay with just one wife, or will he be out on the look for another? It’s all up for grabs, and ahead of the season’s premiere, we brought you all the necessary details you need.
Sister Wives Season 18 Preview
Sister Wives has gone through a lot of transformations across its lengthy 18-season run. For one thing, Kody Brown only has one formal wife left because Christine divorced his sorry ass, and Meri split and left town. As such, this polygamy-centered show has had Meri Brown, Janelle, and Christine leave Kody due to his problematic character flaws.
Kodi and Meri got married in 1990 and had a kid named Leon, who’s now 28 years old. Then Kody went with Janelle in his polygamy game in 1993; they had several kids: Madison, Garrison, Hunter, and Gabriel. But now Kody and Janelle are separated.
We moved to Christine, whom Kody married in 1994 and also had several kids with her: Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Aspyn, Paedon, Ysabel, and Truely.
Last but not least is Kody’s latest and remaining wife, Robyn, whom he married in 2014, and fathered and co-parented a few kids with her: Dayton, Aurora, Breanna, Solomon, and Ariella Mae.
Now, as to where the show’s going, we’re not sure; that’s too many women and too many factors in an equation where Kody’s flaws as a spouse and polygamist have made everyone in his orbit drop him like a bad habit.
