In 1983, the sci-fi fantasy movie Krull made its debut. The big-budget film – a co-creation between the UK and the US – recounted a dark story about a prince who sets out to rescue a princess from a shocking animal known as the Beast. In the movie, Prince Colwyn assembles together strength and partners to support his situation, including a magician and a cyclops, among others. The group navigates the land looking for the Beast while being hunted by the Beast’s deadly army, the Slayers. Krull: The Cast

Where Is Krull Filmed?
Most of Krull was shot in the UK, with the creation shoot generally taking on sound stages at Pinewood Studios. This included the utilization of the 007 Stage, which gave a home to the movie’s big scene. In addition to Pinewood, few scenes were filmed on the spot, in pieces of England and in Italy. One of the scenes shot in Italy was of Lyssa’s palace – which in reality was a 40-foot model, set inside the Italian scene to make it appear as if it were real.

Plot Of The Movie
In the world of Krull, an evil animal called the Beast decimates the world’s army and kidnaps the wonderful Princess Lyssa (Lysette Anthony), who is destined to become sovereign. Her brave lover, Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall), leads a diverse band of warriors, including Ergo (David Battley) and Kegan (Liam Neeson), to rescue his dearest. However, before he can confront the Beast, Colwyn must find a mystical weapon known as the Glaive, which he can use to slay the hideous villain.
Merging elements of sword and sorcery and the space show sort, Krull has a plot compared by critics with the works in the series of Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and, for its use of the Glaive, the legend of King Arthur.
