The soon-to-be-released anime series, Konusuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World! is based on Natsume Akatsuki’s light novels drawn by Kurone Mishima. The writer also happens to be the writer for Konosuba: Gods Blessing On This Wonderful World! Light novels.
Originally released in October 2013, the story of Konusuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World! Revolves around a loner student who ends up dying wrongfully. In his afterlife, he comes across one goddess, Aqua, who he chooses to keep close to him in the fantasy world after his reincarnation. The show is a spin-off with Megumin, a sorceress who refuses to help Kazuma in his afterlife journey.
This particular anime series is set before the timeline of the Konosuba: God’s Blessing On This Wonderful World! Began. The anime series, Konusuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World! is being directed by recognized directors Yujiro Abe and Takaomi Kanasaki.

This anime series is the story of Megumin and her magical clan. Megumin happens to be a very knowledgeable witch who works hard at creating chaos. She has had certain experiences during her childhood that have pushed her in a strange direction. Every moment that her eyes are open and that she breathes, she only thinks of one thing, which is indulging in dark magic.
She is a genius and a proud member of the Crimson Magic Clan, and while she is away on the lookout to find the ultimate offensive magic, her notorious little sister gets a pass to play. On a regular day, when Komekko, Megumi’s younger sister, is out in the woods following her routine trip, she comes across a strange ball of fluff.
She finds it to be a small black kitten. Her ears perk, and she is fully absorbed in the kitten’s adorable existence. What she does not know is that the kitten plays a certain role in keeping the Dark God’s tomb sealed and that doing anything to the kitten may lead to some serious issues, like the seal of the tomb getting lifted, giving the Dark God a way out.
The anime series, Konusuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World! is set to follow this storyline and explore its characters.
