Minority Report Filming Locations
Los Angeles County, California
Los Angeles County, the most populated county in both California and the U.S., served as the location for most of the scenes in “Minority Report.” At the famous Ambassador Hotel, a Mediterranean-style structure located at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard in the county’s capital, Los Angeles, important scenes were filmed.
A few scenes were set against the backdrop of Descanso Gardens, a 150-acre expansive botanical garden in the La Caada-Flintridge suburbs located at 1418 Descanso Drive. The majority of the movie’s scenes that required complex visuals were filmed at various nationwide film studios.
Its filming facilities were given by the renowned Universal Studios, which is situated at 100 Universal City Plaza in the unincorporated city of Universal City in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County.
The group also visited Warner Brothers Burbank Studios, a huge production center located at 4000 Warner Boulevard in Burbank, California’s studio sector. Additionally, the studio’s backlot on Hennesy Street was utilized for filming. The altercation between Anderson and the police took place there.
Several interior sequences were shot on Stages 14 and 15 at 20th Century Fox Studios, a classic Hollywood studio located at 10201 Pico Boulevard in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Century City.

Washington, D.C.
Since Washington, D.C., is where the majority of “Minority Report” is situated, the production crew chose to film there to give the story a sense of realism. The setting for various scenes was the Willard InterContinental Hotel, a five-star hotel located at 1401 M Street North West in Washington.
The PreCrime headquarters in the movie is located in the administrative structure known as the Ronald Reagan Federal Building, which is located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue North West in Washington, D.C.
The cast and crew also recorded some scenes in Georgetown’s historic quarter. Another noteworthy location for filming was the Gap showroom, which could be found in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., at 1258 Wisconsin Avenue North West.
Virginia
Additionally, a few movie scenes were filmed in and around Virginia. As Anderton crosses the Potomac, he can see the skyline of Rosslyn, Virginia. He crosses a bridge in one scene to take Agatha to his wife’s house.
The sequence was filmed in Indian Field Creek near the Colonial Parkway in Yorktown, Virginia. In Virginia’s Beaverdam Park, a 635-acre park located at 8687 Roaring Springs Road in the Gloucester suburbs, a few pictures were taken. Numerous more scenes took place here, some of which were filmed in the nearby suburb of Nuttall.
The Ware Neck Yacht Club is a yacht club located at 5992 Ware Point Road, close to the Ware Neck Marina, in the surrounding Gloucester County town of Ware Neck. Further filming was done on the banks of the Potomac River in the Arlington metropolitan county.
Orlando, Florida
More studio work was done in Orlando, a mysterious city in Central Florida that is home to several theme parks. At Universal Studios Florida, a sizable movie production center and theme park located at 1000 Universal Studios Plaza in Orlando, Florida, the team captured scenes. Sequences were also filmed at the close-by Infinite Horizon Studios, a Disney affiliate.
