What happened to Christopher Lasalle?
NCIS: New Orleans has told its fans that they are going to end the show with the seventh season, and the show was concluded on 23rd May 2021 with its final episode. People saw it coming after the death of Christopher Lasalle in the sixth episode of season 6.
The audience did not anticipate the sudden death of Lasalle in the show. Some prior warnings could have been appreciated by the diehard fans of the show. Lucas Black was a member of the initial cast of the show and left the show before its ending.
Christopher Lasalle tried to avenge the murder of his brother Cade by tracking down the Alabama drug gang he believes is responsible. At the beginning of the hour, Lasalle ran into a young woman, Sue-Anne Hughes, who led him to the hut where her brother had been murdered.
Once there, looking at the bloodstained floor, a gunman broke through a back door and headed for Sue-Anne. Lasalle pushed her back before attacking the gunman. But in doing so, he supported several GSWs on his abdomen and right arm.
Arriving at the crime scene as soon as possible, Pride called the trauma hospital that Lasalle was reaching there in the chopper, and he needed urgent medical attention. Even though he was airlifted to the best trauma hospital nearby, it was a very complex and serious surgery.
He survived the life-threatening surgery and was even awake after the surgery. The team took around to check on him, and Loretta was the last person who saw him alive. His monitors started acting weird and were beeping nonstop, and Loretta in panic, started calling for help.
Until the doctors could reach it was already too late for Lasalle, he dreamt about his death dead brother Chad and imagined going fishing with him. It was so emotional both on-screen and off-screen. Fans were sobbing hard on all social media platforms.
Doctors tried to revive him through CPR, but all their efforts were in vain. He was long gone, and the rest of the team members were still trying to process the fact that they were never going to see their teammate ever again.
Lucus Black told when he was being interviewed for leaving the show in between that ‘it was a good run and that he enjoyed his time on the show with the directors, co-actors, and staff. It was good while it lasted, and he does not regret leaving the show. He also thanked the audience for so much love and support.
Fans are hoping for his banging to come back on the big screens. We hope he comes back soon with another interesting story and character until then we will mourn his Christopher Lasalle character, which left a lasting effect on everybody.
