With Halloween hovering over, everyone would love a good scare or two. The Conjuring (2013) is one of the finest recent movies set in a creepy old residence, and there’s nothing that compares to a great haunted mansion, house, or room film to get your heart racing. The Conjuring was a huge smash that gave birth to a whole universe of related films because of its belonging based on a true story trope and spooky surprises.

1. Halloween Ends (2022)
Now, this is the only exception, but a fun one at that. A little child called Jeremy is being watched by Corey Cunningham, age 21, on All Hallows Eve night in 2019. Jeremy plays a practical joke on Corey. Corey mistakenly pushes the door open even as Jeremy’s folks get home, killing him by throwing him over the fence of the stairs. Corey is suspected of murdering Jeremy on purpose but is acquitted of negligence.
Laurie Strode is residing with her granddaughter and working on the last chapters of her autobiography four years after her final encounter with the mask-wearing killer Michael Myers. Since Myers is never seen, Laurie decides to let go of her anger. But when a young man is charged with killing a youngster, he is watching, and it starts a chain reaction of violence and fear that compels Laurie to face the demonic Michael Myers.

2. Insidious (2010)
Josh Lambert, a teacher, and his spouse Renai relocate to a new home with their three small children. Shortly after they move home, Dalton, the eldest, collapses after falling from a ladder in the rafters and enters a coma. After three months, he remains in a coma when he is discharged back to his home.
Shutters start to close, apparitions appear, and ominous figures are visible over Dalton’s cot as strange things begin to occur in the residence. Even after they relocate to a different home, strange things keep happening.
Josh is compelled to speak with clairvoyant Elise Rainier despite his reluctance to do so. She explains that although Dalton is an expert at astral projection, he got lost during one of his out-of-body experiences. A demon and other undead entities are attempting to enter Dalton’s flesh and take up residence there. Josh must regain the skills he once had as a youngster and leave his form to save Dalton.

3. The Boy (2016)
In a rural English town, a young American woman called Greta accepts a position as a babysitter for an 8-year-old kid. Greta is shocked to discover that the kid of her current hires is a life-size doll. The couple’s capacity to deal with the loss of their first child 20 years ago is aided by the way they treat the doll as though it were alive.

The narrative opens similarly to other terrifying haunted home tales. A household relocates to a charming little hamlet in southern Austria. Sadly, if the neighbors are to be trusted, the property they just relocated into is haunted. Hendrik, 16, with his sibling Eddi struggle after being compelled to pack up their former lives and begin again.
But when Eddi begins to act erratically and begins sleepwalking, matters get worse. The crew began their mission to unravel the secrets hiding in the mansion after being accompanied by Ida and Fritz.

8. The House Of the Devil (2009)
Samantha Hughes, a college student, accepts a strange nanny job in a frantic attempt to earn money so she may move into a brand-new home. Mr. Ulman informs her that there isn’t any kid at the residence and that Samantha will be monitoring his mom when she gets there and cites a full moon eclipse.

After witnessing the terrible loss of her family, a young woman leaves her profession as a teacher to work as a personal tutor or governess for quite an affluent young aristocrat.
The girl’s suspicious brother is immediately sent back from his private school soon after her arrival. The tutor has several odd, illogical encounters while they are there and starts to wonder whether more is behind their tale.

13. The Woman In Black (2012)
The private papers of the late Mrs. Drablow are transferred to the hamlet of Crythin Gifford for inspection by London attorney Arthur Kipps. Because Arthur is still in mourning for his spouse, who passed after delivering their child Joseph four years prior, he hasn’t had a very successful job.
The people of the desolate town of Crythin Gifford are everything but friendly. Everyone in the hamlet is not pleased with Arthur’s choice to be employed at Eel Marsh Manor, Arthur realizes. He quickly discovers that perhaps the Woman in Black, a spirit of the woman whose kid perished in a swamp, haunts the property. A villager’s child perishes each time she makes an appearance.

14. The Others (2001)
Grace Stewart, a widowed woman, and her children Nicholas and Anne dwell in a desolate old mansion in the Channel Islands in 1945. Because her children are sensitive to light and Grace lost her devoted spouse Charles to World War II, she maintains the curtains drawn and the doors locked to shield them from the sun.
Grace upholds tight restraint and adheres to moral standards when rearing her kids. The odd maid Mrs. Bertha Mills, the silent aide Lydia, and the handyman Mr. Edmund Tuttle who had requested employment, are all hired by Grace. The home experiences weird occurrences at random, and Anne alleges that a youngster called Viktor visits them.

15. The Exorcist (1973)
Performer Chris McNeil moves to Washington, D.C., where she is currently working on a film with her 12-year-old child Regan. The daughter and her mother get along well, but eventually, Regan starts acting peculiarly. 17. Dark Skies (2013)
The Barrett family lives in an undisclosed American city on a calm residential road with mom Lacy, dad Daniel, eldest brother Jesse, and the youngest brother Sammy. 30. The Black Phone (2021)
The Blake children, Gwen and Finny, resided with their drunken widowed father, Terrence, around Denver in 1978. They mourn their psychically gifted mother, who took her own life.
Three of Finney’s classmates bully him in the classroom, but his buddy Robin stands up for him. When a kidnapper dubbed “The Grabber” abducts a youngster called Bruce, the Blake sister Gwen has a vision in which she reveals something about mysterious black balloons.
When investigators Miller and Wright arrive at the campus to question Gwen, the duo does not accept what she says. Once “The Grabber” kidnaps Finney, he is imprisoned in a hushed dungeon where he discovers that the black telephone hanging on the wall is unplugged. But Finney starts getting calls from the afterlife out of the blue.
