Extraction 2 Ending Explained
The most trending confusion is about who died in the fight that happened in the end between Tyler and Zurab. During the fight scene, we saw that Tyler killed Davit, who is the husband of Ketevan and is the main villain of this movie. He was the band that kept the children and their mothers captured.
Davit and Zurab are the leader of the paramilitary outfit based in Georgia named The Nagazi. And when Zurab came to know about the death of his brother, his only aim was to take revenge for the death of his brother.
And for that, he even attacked a safe house which was located in Austria, and there was a huge gunfight between the two parties. We saw Zurab killing Yaz, who was his brother of Nik, and also kidnap Sandro, who was his nephew.
When they successfully extracted Ketevan, one of her daughters Zurab called Rake and gave them are offer to meet in person to exchange the life of Sandro. And we see that without wasting time, Tyler went there to get the child, and the place was a church.
Zurab forced Sandro to shoot Rake to become a man, but he failed to do that. And then Zurab himself attacked Rake, but in the end, Rake killed him by shooting him in the head. After Zurab’s passing, the police quickly detained Rake and Nik, according to Extraction 2’s conclusion.
This is presumably due to the enormous amount of destruction that their black ops mercenary organization caused during their wars with The Nagazi. Rake isn’t behind bars for very long, though. He is escorted from the prison to meet with Elba’s Alcott once again shortly after bidding his ultimate farewell to Mia.
Nik joins them shortly after, and given how quickly they were both released, Alcott, or whatever he works for, has some important connections. Elba’s role in Extraction 2 is essentially a cameo, as he is only there to set up Rake’s task and subsequently free him.
Elba’s Alcott was introduced as a way to “expand” the Extraction series, according to Extraction 2 director Sam Hargrave, and he is expected to appear again in subsequent installments. However, very nothing is made known about him, and the only time his name is stated is in the credits of Extraction 2.
Alcott’s employment with a real “gnarly motherf**ker,” in his own words, is one of the details hinted at in Extraction 2. Rake and Nik are released from jail by Alcott and his boss because they need to complete another job.
Tyler visits with his ex-wife Mia for one more time before being released from prison. There is undoubtedly a great lot of conflict and regret between them because Mia was left on her alone to deal with their son’s illness and death.
She goes to see Tyler to notify him that Ketevan and her two kids had entered witness protection after arranging a deal with the Americans to swap information on The Nagazi’s dealing with the Americans.
The couple’s assets were frozen, as well, according to Mia. However, Rake claims to have $1 million stashed in his house that he wants her to find and give to Ketevan so they may begin a new life.
