When Teonna’s cousin Baapuxti refuses to inform him where Teonna is going, he then decides to terrorize him. Renaud sends three young monks on horses to find her.

Recap of episode 5 of 1923
Teonna is hiding out in the badlands, trailing a branch behind her as she moves to cover up any signs of her escape. Teonna encounters a wolf that challenges her as she sets up camp for the night. Fearful, the young girl scrambles up one of the famously towering geological rock structures in the area to hide from the monster.
The following morning, she finds sheep everywhere. Hank is a shepherd and provides her with a place to stay. He claims, and the Indian School will seek for her there before anywhere else. He takes her off with him. Spencer is seeking to get to Yellowstone.
At least two weeks will pass before the final ship bound for London touches down on the African coast. Spencer needs to return to Yellowstone immediately. He meets Lucca, a tugboat captain, who agrees to take his money in exchange for helping him manage the ship as his first mate.
Spencer & Alexandra will be taken by boat to the Suez Canal. After then, they will board ships and travel over various waterways to England and eventually the US. Before departing, they transmit a cable message from the docks to a luxurious cruise ship.
Cara receives a message from Spencer. In the ocean, they come upon a ghost ship. A larger, broken-down metal vessel floats about. Then they see multiple vessels floating around over the sea. They disturb Lucca since they might be a sign that his own time is running out. Lucca has a chronic cough that occasionally produces blood.
Even his bed has blood stains on it. He needed to rest, so Spencer offered to take him during one of their three-hour shifts. He declines, and Lucca immediately rejects his offer. Later, while still snuggling with Alexandra on the couch, Spencer suddenly wakes up.
He observes that the engine is not moving. When he climbs onto the deck, he discovers Lucca already dead, with his palm resting in the weakest position on the throttle, indicating that the engine is barely working.
When Spencer notices his tugboat is drifting in the way of another terrifying ghost ship, he issues an SOS and is about to tell them their whereabouts. Spencer carries out his instructions. He accelerates the boat, which has been inactive for hours, because he wants to make an acute, quick turn.
The enormous freighter hits the tugboat with its bow. Spencer is sent flying as a result, and his fiancée is knocked out of bed and onto a wall below deck. We saw Elizabeth informing Cara that they needed to schedule the wedding earlier because she was expecting.
Spencer finally sends Cara a cable, letting her know he is returning home. The tug boat lies inverted in the center of a large body of water in the final moments of the episode, and Spencer and Alexandra are nowhere to be seen. So are the dead? We have to wait for the next episode to learn more about it.
