Al Thaman also known as ‘The Price’ is a Lebanese series which premiered its first episode on January 8, 2023. Telling the story of a single mother who’s willing to go above and beyond for the treatment of her sick child, Al Thaman boosts of a great cast starring Bassel Khayyat and Razane Jamal as our main protagonists.
This lebanese series is an adaptation of Binbir Gece or 1001 nights which is a Turkish Series that came out in 2006. With themes of love, suspense and thrill surrounding Al Thaman, this is one show that is sure to keep you hooked!

Plot of Al Thaman
Sarah, our female lead is a hardworking single mother who has to provided for her family of two- herself and her son. Having switched jobs quite often, in search of stability she starts working in an architecture company under a man named Mr Ibrahim.
Having faced many harsh events in her life, Sarah is yet again hit with another complication- her son’s leukemia starts getting worse. As he becomes sicker by the day, Sarah has to look after the hospital bills to help her son from his suffering.
At first, Sarah had hoped she would receive a loan from the bank, but her wishfull thinking turned out in vain as she was rejected; leaving her anxious and in worry of what to do next.
Her last resort is her boss’ son, Zein who offerered her money on one condition- she had to spend the night with him. Sarah at first, knew how absurd this was and there’s no logical reason as to why she should agree to it. However, for the sake of her son, she agrees to Zein’s requirement in return for financial aid.
Why did Zein ask Sarah to fulfill such a cruel condition? How will their relationship go from here and will her son’s leukemia finally be treated?

Mo’tasem who was on the lose in the previous episode is yet to be found. Having run away with no hopes from the Police of his whereabouts, Haifa, who also had a feud with Zein the previous episodes, is called in for questioning.
Because of the whole orchestra he created with his runaway, Sarah and Zein go on a search for Mo’tasem and find out where he’s escaped.
On the other hand, Tima, who was going through rough patches with Karam encounters someone from her past. This person’s reappearance is sure to bring in confusion and stir the dynamic of her life.
