Where is the cast of Zoey 101 right now? Remember that hugely successful Nickelodeon series from the mid-2000s, Zoey 101? The story follows Zoey Brooks when she enrolls at Pacific Coast Academy, popularly known as PCA, a former All Boys’ school. There were ups, downs, friends, and enemies throughout the entire run of the show. You loved them then, and now let’s take a look at what they’ve been up to since the show wrapped up.
Believe it or not, Zoey 101 has been off the air for about 17 years now after becoming one of Nickelodeon’s highly rated and popular shows in the 2000s and going on to win two kids’ choice awards, three young artist awards, and more.
Beginning in 2005, the Nickelodeon series had four seasons of excellent ratings and a devoted fan following until was ended in 2008. With 61 episodes, the series has been considered one of Nickelodeon’s most profitable shows ever. Zoey 101 was also among the most costly production ever for a Nickelodeon show, as it was shot entirely on location in Malibu, California.
Jaime Lynn Spears
First up, we have Jamie Lynn Spears, also known as Britney Spears’s younger sister but also the main character on Zoey 101, who was just 14 years old at the time. Jamie Lynn has mostly been focusing on her country music career, performing at music festivals, promoting herself on radio shows, and the most notable single is “How Could I want more” song.
Now before starting on this music path, the star became a Teen Mom and took a long leave of absence from Hollywood, ultimately getting married to her husband, Jamie Watson. They now live in Louisiana with their daughters. Jamie Lynn is now 31 years old, and she recently released a new memoir called “Things I Should Have Said.”
If you’re a fan of the younger Spears, you might remember that she made the news just a few years ago when a security video showed her grabbing a knife as she tried to break up a restaurant fight. But at the end of the day, music and family are at the top of Jamie Lynn Spears’s list.
Paul Butcher
Next, we have Paul Butcher, who was just 11 years old when he played Dustin Brook, Zoey’s younger brother. So this guy really went on to do regular voiceover work on “King of the Hill.” He guest starred on Criminal Minds in 2009, and he starred in the TV series “My Music.” Plus, it was also announced that he starred in a pilot called Destiny 7, about seven individuals from different walks of life who are chosen to help strengthen the faith in those who need it.
Paul just turned 29 this past Valentine’s Day, and he’s also an avid singer. You can check out his YouTube channel for a few videos. Paul is currently focused on his music career and recently released a single called Freaky.
Victoria Justice
What about our girl, Victoria Justice? Victoria Justice was only 12 years old when she joined the cast in the second season playing Lola Martinez. A student who aspires to be a famous actress. She’s definitely been quite busy post-Zoey 101, from a handful of guest-starring roles on shows like “True Jackson VP” and iCarly to full-on starring roles on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” and MTV’s eye candy.
Also, Victoria has been dating her boyfriend for quite some time now. They met on the set of the show, and Victoria has also starred in another movie called The Outskirts. Plus, she’s been super busy hitting up events like New York Fashion Week, and we can’t forget about her dip into the music scene touring with Big Time Rush and remembering her single “Gold” and the music video that featured her friend Colton Haynes. Now she’s 30 years old and recently filmed Afterlife of the Party, a 2021 American supernatural comedy film.
Chris Massey
Let’s talk about Chris Massey. Now, you knew him on the show was Michael Barrett. Christopher Massey was 15 years old when he portrayed Michael Barrett, the roommate and best friend of Chase, James, and Logan. Well, this fan favorite also took a bit of a break. From acting, and went on to pursue a music career, coming out with an album called Get Over Here with his brother Kyle Massey. Christopher is now 33 years old. He is focused on music and recently released a new album called Fallen Star.
In 2010, the team founded Massey Boy Records. They also apparently had a reality show in the works with Bristol Palin before Lifetime debuted its own version, they pressed charges, and the suit was settled out of court. Also, Chris had also made news after Lil Twist reportedly broke into his brother’s home and attacked Chris with breast knuckles before stealing personal possessions.
Matthew Underwood
Matthew Underwood was 15 years old when he played Logan Reese, the pompous son of a rich movie producer. His character loved to flirt with all the girls at PCA. He kind of seems to have been taking a bit of a break from the biz as well, but not before playing a role where his character got murdered on screen in the 2009 reality Horror Night. And before Zoey 101, He was busy working on a bunch of voiceover roles, but since the show ended, he’s reportedly had a few runs INS with the law.
In April 2012, he was apparently arrested for drug possession, and then later that year, Matthew was again arrested for probation violation. The charges were dismissed in the end, and we can’t wait to hear a positive update from this guy. Matthew is now 31 years old and focuses on filmmaking.
Erin Sanders
Moving on, we’ve got Erin Sanders. Erin Sanders was 14 years old when she played the quirky Quinn Pensky, who was best friends with Zoey and Lola. She’s certainly stayed in the world of acting after starring as Quinn throughout the series run. Her most notable role is definitely Camille Roberts in another popular Nickelodeon show, Big Time Rush, and she guest starred on various television shows.
After wrapping up a few years of work there, we’ve seen Erin in several shorts as well as guest starring on Melissa and Joey. And you can even catch her in a movie called Chained and Bound. Now Erin is 31 years old and teaches Yoga and meditation as she continues to pursue acting roles.
Austin Butler
Here and now, guys, it is time for Austin Butler. Austin Butler was 14 years old when he joined the cast in season 4 as James Garrett, a new roommate of Logan and Michael. This guy played Zoey’s boyfriend, and after rapping on the Nick show, he lent his acting skills to Life Unexpected and Switched at Birth.
You may have caught Austin on the Sex in the City early years spin-off, The Carrie Diaries as well. Plus, Austin also was featured on the Hit TV show Arrow, and then he was tied to Vanessa Hudgens as a real-life boyfriend, but they have separated their ways now. Austin is now 31 years old and was nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the movie Elvis.
Sean Flynn
Our next Zoey 101 cast member, who you might be wondering about, is Chase Matthews or, in real life, Sean Flynn. He was known for having a massive crush on Zoey. He’s been in a few movies, including “Return of the Killer Shrews,” “Hatfield and McCoy’s Bad Blood,” “The Last of Robin Hood,” and, “Withering High School,” and you might have also caught him on a few episodes of Devious Maids. Sean is now 32 years old and is a producer at Donatello Arm.
Abby Wilde
Of course, we cannot forget about Abby Wilde. You knew her as Stacy Dillson on the show. Well, she went on to make appearances as Crazy Stacy on several Nick shows, including iCarly and Sam and Cat, and she continues to pursue theater in New York City from What we hear.
Alexa Nikolas
Alexa Nikholas took on Nicole Bristow for the show the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Bristow. She was just thirteen years old at the time. She had a handful of guest-starring roles on TV shows after Zoey 101, including Cold Case, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, CSI Miami, Ghost Whisperer, Supernatural, Heroes, Drop Dead Diva, and The Walking Dead. And Mad Men. Wow, she’s been busy. Alexa is now 30 years old and recently had her first child in 2020, and got married to her boyfriend, Michael Gray, in 2021.
Kristin Herrera
We’ll wrap up this article of Zoey 101 Cast Where Are They Now with Kristin Herrera. Kristin Herrera was 16 years old when she played Dana Cruz, the roommate and friend of Zoey. She was only featured in season one of the series. Kristen is now 34 years old. Bolt, in 2020, reunited with the Zoes 101 cast on the television show “All That.”
