The series is full of drama, love, lies, and adultery that has followed through decades.

The very first plot of the story follows the head of the Horton family Alice and her husband, Mark Horton, with their kids, Bill and Mickey Horton. The series initially followed Laura, Mickey’s wife, getting raped by Bill and the birth of their child.
The show initially had a main villain Linda Patterson who married a rich man to get revenge on Mickey after he married his love. Character Development Of Kate Roberts
The character Kate was one of the most loved and hated characters on the Days of Our Lives soap-opera. Kate, played by Lauren Koslow, was played by Deborah Adair till she retired from her acting career in 1993. Kate’s character came a long way from evil to normal as she never truly became a nice person.
Kate is someone who’s an aggressive, manipulative, and nosy woman who keeps meddling in her family’s business. Kate arrived in Salem to work at the Titan Publishing Company, where she ended up falling in love with the company’s owner.
It is revealed Kate used to be married to an abusive man and lived in Salem until she got pregnant with someone else child. Her husband kicked her out and vanished from Salem with their kids. Kate also ends up in a rivalry with Vivian, who also craves Victor’s love. Kate is someone who always craved power and would go to any length to achieve it.
Vivian tries to kill Kate twice. The first time is when Kate is pregnant and traveling, where Vivian poisons the pilot of the plane, and he ends up crashing the plane. Kate survives the conspiracy and returns to Salem to exact her revenge.
The second time Vivian tries to kill Kate is when they are in a scuffle, and Vivian gets shot; Kate claims to have been accidental. Vivian survives the shot and returns to take her revenge on Kate. Vivian shoots and buries Kate to kill her, and Kate ends up surviving.
Later Kate forms a pact with Stefano, Vivian’s son, where in return for her help, he’ll let her work in the corporate sector. Later Kate reveals Stefano’s truth and instantly loses all the love and respect of her family members, who start hating her gut and involvement with Stefano.

Kate’s Death
Kate, Marlena, and Kayla suffer from a reading agent that the Orpheus stole Dr. Rolf’s lab and infected them with to exact revenge on the husbands of these women. Orpheus plans his revenge carefully after Roman accidentally kills his wife, Rebecca.
All three women were previously given serums to control the effects of the virus and were able to make a full recovery. Kayla and Kate relapse with the virus again, as shown in the recent episode of the show.
The only cure that was the serum isn’t there anymore, and the orchids from which the serum could have been made again are misplaced by Kristen, the vengeful ex-wife of Brady. Kate refuses to get tested while Kayla’s condition worsens at the same time. Rex convinces his mother, Kate, to have lab tests done on her to see the extent of her relapse. Kate kept trying to convince Rex it wasn’t a big deal and that she was fine.
The lab tests return to confirm she has relapsed and her condition is much worse than before. With there being no serum, Kate’s health declines rapidly, even with Rex trying everything to save his mother. Kate took her last breath at 8:02 after meekly trying to tell her husband she loved him and her son Rex.
Roman breaks down after seeing his wife’s lifeless body. Rex tries to save his mother and make her come back to life by giving her electrical shocks that prove to be of no use and Kate flat lines.
Is Lauren Koslow Leaving The Show?
As the character of Kate ended in the show as she flat-lined in the previous episode, it was speculated Lauren Koslow must be leaving the show after being on it for more than a decade. Lauren called this news that is spreading to be rubbish. Lauren isn’t leaving the show and will continue to work in the role of Kate, just not in their human form.
Kate, Kayla, and Marlene have turned into spirits after making a deal with the devil. Lauren Koslow may take a small break before returning to work, but Kate’s character isn’t coming to an end any time soon.
So the fans of Lauren or the character Kate can take a breath of relief as their favorite isn’t going anywhere. They can celebrate the return of Kate in spirit form. Laure plays an important role in the soap opera, so she can’t be taken out of the show at the moment.
