Love Live! Superstars!! is a wonderful story of some young girls with ambitious dreams to become Idols or Superstars one day. The story takes place in the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama neighborhoods of Tokyo at Yuigaoka Private Girls High School. Initially slated for demolition, the school has just reopened for students after being reopened. Despite the lack of history and accomplishments at their school, Kanon Shibuya and four other first-year students discover “school idols” and are determined to make their voices heard.
Kanon serves as the leader of Liella, as well as lyricist and composer of the group. She is also part-Spanish in the program at her school because of her grandmother. They made a school idol group of Yuigaoka Private Girls High School named Liella and aimed to become Live Superstars!
Kanon is a high school second-year student who is someone with no stand-out characteristics. She loves singing and playing the guitar. However, she is an introvert and doesn’t like to perform in front of other people, which led her to pass many occasions performing on stage. Due to a lack of stage experience, she failed the entrance exam for Yuigaoka Girls’ music program and ended up in the school’s general academic program instead. Her dad works as a translator, her mom runs a cafe, and a lovely younger sister. She and her younger sister often help their mother in the cafe business whenever they can. She keeps a Eurasian scops owl as her pet and named Manmaru. The cafe is also known for its owl performances.
Love Live! Superstars!! Episode 5 Recap
Natsume is in the background for many episodes, but this episode gets her introduction here, and it’s a powerful one. She got only two ambitions to fulfill a fat stack and the L-Tube ad revenue that will generate. She wants to go online with her band and turn it into a fortune. Nico is introduced by stealing french fries and quite this coldblooded. Natsumi has no interest in idols of any kind and wants to take advantage of the other girls’ trust by offering to be the producer for videos.
She’s also pretty good at cover-up speeches, as most of the Liella! A girl who hears her pitch falls hook, line, and sinker. Because Sumire is a former child actor, she can recognize a con woman “producer” by the smell of flop sweat wafting off her palms, and seeing her stand up for the group is pretty sweet considering where she started. Although she became a School Idol for similar reasons, she was open about it and won’t let any ombré-haired twerp with a selfie stick take advantage of her gullible friends.
