Sang Soo nods in agreement before leaving Mi Kyung and Soo Young alone in the lunch room. Although she claims they are not married “yet,” Mi Kyung informs Soo-young regarding her admission to Sang-Soo last week.
Soo Young separates herself from Sang Soo’s embrace and urges him to marry someone who is a better match for him for the rest of the episodes after this conversation appears to cast an unbreakable enchantment over her.
However, Soo-young could only accompany Sang-soo to supper that evening if she wished to. Yook Shi-Kyung, the regional manager (Jung Jae-sung), invites her to go with him to a client’s private dinner. By the way, he handled Soo-hand Young in his workplace last week; we already knew this man was a scumbag; if there were any questions, this meeting dispelled them.
The supervisor and the male client are both significantly older than Soo, who is seated at the table and tries to conduct business. The customer reprimands her, and after they have left, her employer informs her that it is her responsibility to “amuse” customers in sessions like this.
He’s brought her along to serve as an escort. Then, after she declines and says she is uncomfortable accepting his money, he presses cash into her hands for a cab. We knew this had happened before because when she returned home, she hid the 60,000 won in a bin with other bills.
She didn’t join Sang Soo for dinner, so he texted her to see if she wanted to go tomorrow evening instead. She stays silent, already anticipating that he will start to develop feelings for Mi-Kyung. These segments spend a significant amount of time on unpleasant office politics.
Manager Yook invites Soo-young once more to go to lunch alongside him and a customer the following day at the institution. Sang Soo requests permission to go instead. However, according to the boss, Sang Soo will be golfing with a customer this week, which is illogical.

Manager Yook informs Mi Kyung that she needs more time for such an unimportant job when she offers to assist Soo-young with the assignment. The entire situation triggers a chain of events. First, when Soo Young struggles to cope with the terrible job environment, both Jong Hyun and Sang Soo attempt to assist her in various ways.
Sang Soo somehow informs Manager Yook that she used corporate money for personal expenditures. Manager Yook issued Soo-young the official apologies she asked for in front of the entire employees as a result of this.
Since Sang-soo is unknown, they believe that some justice has been done. A day after visiting her mom, Soo Young is in a foul mood and heading home in the pouring rain when Jong-Yun appears with an umbrella.

On Sang-soo’s side, he plays golf with his client on the same weekend he is supposed to attend the wedding with Mi-Kyung. She hardly acknowledges the “important” customer when she approaches him at the golf club for the ride home.
When Sang-soo tries to tell her she is rude, we learn that the client is her father. Later, when Sang-soo gets the contract he was proposing to her dad, we won’t know how much of a role she may have played in his success.
A few of Sang Soo and Mi Kyung’s college pals are introduced to us at the wedding. Mi Kyung begs the companions to stop talking behind the bride the groom’s behind. However, everyone in the company criticizes Soo Young at the same time, telling her to merely attend the after-hours sessions if she is requested to do so more frequently than anybody else.
When asked what he believes, Sang Soo responds that Soo Young made a decision. Naturally, Soo Young is just outside the door when he says it. Finally, Soo Young complains about Director Yook, and a team from the auditing department shows up to speak with the personnel.
We hear that Soo Young will probably be dismissed or moved to another location, even if the staff attests that she is being unfairly targeted. Manager Yook will not face any repercussions. Then, a friend criticizes Mi Kyung, questioning why she constantly presents herself as having accomplished everything while, in reality, she steals from her wealthy parents.

While Jong Hyun prepares for his police exam, Soo-young and Jong-hyun spend most of their meetings at the library. They share their first embrace at this point, and as more episodes come out, it becomes clear that Jong Hyun is winning over Soo Young with all the thoughtful little things he does for her.
But on the day of his exam, he receives a call that, though the words are not audible, prevents him from taking the test. He subsequently takes a leave of absence from work, calling Soo-young only later to announce his desire to split up, probably because of a crisis he doesn’t want to discuss with her.
Sang-soo begins dating Mi-Kyung at the precise same time as Soo Young is being dumped by the guy she wasn’t sure she liked. However, these two are rather adorable. She claims she will give him a rare coin she finds on the ground if they start dating. He pauses before saying, “Give it to me.” The episode ended with these two grinning and prepared to start dating, but Soo-Young is perplexed by Jong Hyun.
