Call Me Mother’s second season premiered on October 26, 2022. On September 23, 2022, the cast was unveiled. All three drag mothers from season one are back, as is Farra N. Hyte as a non-mentoring judge and Landon Cider, who replaces Miss Butterfly from season one, as a new judge. Every mother is correct, but three drag mothers? That trinity knows everything. Former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Peppermint and Crystal team up with drag legend Barbada de Barbades on the OUTtv series to find the “First Child of Drag” among ten diverse contestants competing over an eight-week competition for a spot in one of the royal trio’s drag houses — Peppermint’s House of Dulcet, Crystal’s House of Glass, and Barbada’s House of Harmonie.
The first episode will feature each mother competing to adopt the contestants into their camp (similar to The Voice but without the Minivan Majority theme), and things will get even crazier from there.
The Drag Queens on the show have control of three residences. House of Dulcet, led by drag star Peppermint, is the first. Another possibility is Crystal’s House of Glass. Barbada de Barbades is the leader of the House of Harmonie. Other drag queens that have previously won competitions on RuPaul’s Drag Race and have appeared on television as aunties provide additional guidance to the participants on how to win the show this time around with their distinct set of characteristics.
In addition to the housewives, Dallas Dixon of Entertainment Tonight Canada will host the event when it returns later this year. “The first season of Call Me Mother exceeded all expectations,” OutTV COO Philip Webb stated in a statement. “Even more incredible drag artists applied for the second season, and we are thrilled that the series will provide a platform for all types of drag to thrive, regardless of how they identify,” the show’s creators say.
Toddy, a Vancouver-based performer, won Miss Peppermint’s House of Dulcet in Season 1 in December 2021.

Call Me Mother Season 2 Recap
Miss Peppermint from the House of Dulcet, Crystal from the House of Glass, and Barbada from the House of Harmonie have returned for another round of brawls. The new Houses, Dulcet, Harmonie, and Glass, are having difficulties putting on their first ideal house runway and family talent show. Nobody looks good wearing make-up or having new siblings.
Alaska, fresh off a difficult eviction, joins the newly unified Houses for bingo. Farra N Hyte choreographs her latest show while kinks and corsets parade down the Safe Sex runway.
As they face a make-up fight, the artists’ determination to win grows. The Mothers recruit the help of celebrity pals, and web fantasies come true on the runway. The contestants begin to feel the heat as they prepare for the Roast & Toast. Toddy, the Season 1 champion, comes in for some comedy coaching, and Wig Zaddy does a hair-raising drag vantage point.
The performers perform Sci-Fi Film Duets with a twist: a mother-daughter exchange! Lucinda Miu is a drag queen who is constantly making people laugh.
