The manga series Hunter X Hunter was written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 1998 until June 2006, during which the manga frequently made extended hiatuses. Within the story, we meet a terrorist group known as Phantom Troupe, and here, we shall look at the Strongest Members amongst them.
In the story, a young boy named Gon Freecss discovers that his father, who abandoned him when he was very young, is a world-renowned Hunter, a skilled professional specializing in such activities as locating rare and unidentified wildlife, finding treasure, exploring uncharted enclaves, or hunting lawless individuals. Gon embarks on a journey to become a Hunter and eventually search for his father. On his journey, he comes into contact with several other Hunters and encounters the paranormal.
Phantom Troupe group is also referred to as Spiders. The Phantom Troupe is one of the most infamous gangs in the world. It is made up of thirteen highly skilled Nen users, most of whom hail from Meteor City. To join the group, a person has to kill a current member and replace them with a tattoo of a twelve-legged spider with a number on it.
Here is a list of the Strongest Members In Phantom Troupe:
10. Hisoka Morow
The most powerful Nen user in Hunter x Hunter, Hisoka, lands at the bottom of the list because he is one of the most contentious members. His Spider tattoo is infamously fake, and he refuses to join the mission in Yorknew instead of going out of his way to subvert their aims. Considering loyalty is an essential part of the Troupe, Hisoka’s fickleness makes his membership questionable at best. This is something fans have come to expect from his mysterious behavior, which leaves them more confused than ever.
Despite his lack of morals and bloodlust, Hisoka has already proven to be one of the most powerful opponents well before the Spiders’ introduction. With his rare understanding of Nen, superhuman strength, and impressive intelligence, Hisoka is often the most dangerous enemy in the room.
9. Kalluto Zoldyck
Kalluto is the smallest member of the Zoldyck family and the Phantom Troupe, and his deceptively fragile appearance belies his ability to tear people apart. Though he thinks he’s the weakest Spider, he’s mastered some Nen techniques, developed his own Hatsu, and can spy on the other members of the Phantom Troupe without being noticed.
Kalluto’s attacks may be a graceful dance of fan and confetti, but it’s his paper that is sharp enough to sever limbs and strong enough to slice through steel. Although Kalluto is smaller and younger than the others, he’s already proven himself to be trustworthy.
Shizuku has a strange ability called Conjurer, which is why people assumed she was a Specialist since she was known to use a magical vacuum cleaner (named “Blinky”) all the time. Shizuku, however, is adept at close combat, and her Conjuration-type Hatsu is versatile enough to solve problems both on and off the battlefield.
In comparison to the other members of the Phantom Troupe, she seems to have a great sense of battle, and she uses her Hatsu in a variety of ways to take down opponents.
7. Bonolenov Ndongo
It is worth noting that Bonolenov is not only famous for his strength but also for his incredible speed and sensitivity. By his agility, stamina, and showmanship, Bonolenov not only dashes into combat, but he does so gracefully as well, which makes sense because he comes from the fictional tribute of Gyudondond, whose combat style is renowned throughout the world.
While Bonolenov is capable of using more Nen types than two, he does incorporate this in combat – using the self-made holes in his body to create unique sounds via Battle Cantabile, which can invoke Nen weapons, armor, and more. The Prologue tune allows Bonolenov to summon weapons and armor. Jupiter, meanwhile, summons the physical planet Jupiter itself to crush his opponents. Bonolenov is one of the more unusual fighters in the Troupe, but do not underestimate his power.
6. Shalnark Ryuusei
A look at Shalnark shows that he should not fit in with the rest of the Phantom Troupe. He’s cheerful, responsible, and jovial. But, as the series progresses, it becomes clear that his jovial behavior is merely a pretense for his darker tendencies. As a killer, Shalnark is more of a puppeteer who destroys the victims of his manipulations.
A manipulator-type Hatsu user, Shalnark uses Nen needles implanted in a victim’s neck to control them remotely, just like a video game character through a phone. It’s a great technique for gathering information and espionage since he controls every aspect of the victim. It might seem that Shalnark is just like Pakunoda or Kortopi, who is strong but bad in close combat, but he has a trump card for one-on-one fights where he uses the needle on himself to enhance all his ability levels for some time, temporarily damaging his body and leaving him with no memory of the fight.
5. Phinks Magcub
Phinks Magcub, the overly competitive, tracksuit-wearing delinquent of the Troupe, is a bit unconventional in appearance, but his strength is nothing to scoff at. His strength ranks second only to Uvogin, making him the most powerful member of the Troupe after Uvogin passed away. This, along with his ruthless personality, makes him extremely dangerous.
Phinks is a skilled Nen user who specializes in Enhancer techniques, which is why he is a top performer when it comes to raw strength. Using The Ripper Cyclotron procedure, he can cause astronomical damage to anyone that he encounters.
Uvogin is Grizzly and bulky. He is the strongest member of the Troupe in terms of raw physical strength, boasting an impenetrable fighting spirit. Although he lacks any martial arts experience, Uvogin utilizes his immense strength and speed, and agility against foes with swings and punches. Moreover, he possesses remarkable stamina, durability, and endurance to withstand lengthy fights.
He possessed a powerful Nen aura that allowed him to crush bullets, rocks, and anything in his path. His Ken ability was the best in the series, but his demise occurred when he fell into Kurapika’s hands.
3. Illumi Zoldyck
In the series, Illumi is the first son of Silva Zoldyck and one of the most effective assassins. When Hisoka asked him to replace Uvo, who was killed by Kurapika, Illumi joined the Phantom Troupe. Hisoka is especially alert when Illumi is around because of his presence.
A short burst of his aura can be felt from hundreds of meters away, and his needles can easily kill even extreme Nen users. Although he has many other abilities, it is his Manipulator abilities that he excels at. His manipulator skills remain among the most impressive in the series.
2. Feitan Portor
It is no secret that Feitan is one of the most talented members of the Phantom Troupe. When Chrollo’s Nen was sealed away by Kurapika, he acted as the de facto leader of the group until his return, which shows how clever he is.
As with his speed, Feitan’s Nen specialty in Transmutation is also deadly. Rising Sun is among the series’ best tricks because when it is unleashed, it kills whatever it touches, whether they are foes or members of the Spiders.
1. Chrollo Lucilfer
Chrollo Lucilfer, the founder of the Phantom Troupe, is arguably the deadliest of the group’s members, and Hisoka himself praises his skillset. Chrollo is a small figure physically, ranking only seventh in strength, but he makes up for that with excellent fighting abilities, masterful adaptability, increased speed, as well as a genius-level intellect, and preternatural intuition.
He’s also an expert at using the other five types like the other five types. Since Chrollo is a Specialist, he has one of the most dangerous powers in the anime series. It is impossible to beat him in a fight, even against someone as powerful as Hisoka, which makes him the undisputed leader of the Phantom Troupe.
