Cid and Beta end up in a post-apocalyptic Japan after getting swallowed by the Black Rose. Long back, when Cid Kagenou was still Kagenou Minoru, he had befriended Nishino in class and had even saved her from a group of thugs. But now, Japan was in such a state that Cid doesn’t know whether anyone he knew was still alive.
Of course, this is all completely new and alien for Beta as she has never seen a place like this and doesn’t understand the language. The two of them explore the now battered Japan and all the desolate and abandoned buildings. The dangerous monsters that ravaged the place came to the fore and attacked Cid and Beta.
But with their extensive skill set, they easily fought through the attack. Just outside the building, Akane Nishino and her comrades fight the monsters themselves. They are some of the survivors who lived through all the devastation.

There he was blessed with unrivaled powers and he even established a guild called the Shadow Garden to fight against an imaginary enemy Cid made up in his head called the Cult of Diablos. But, Cid soon found out that the Cult of Diablos was very much real indeed.

Because chapter 50 has not yet been published, we will give a brief account of chapter 49 before revealing the release date of chapter 51. Akane hears a noise coming from the building and thinks that there may be survivors and decides to go and check it out. She is with two of her comrades who go with her.
There was the smell of blood in the air and they soon found out where it was coming from. Corpses of fallen beasts lay all along the corridor. Akane and the others wonder who could have done this when they find a couple of young people lying on the floor, seemingly unconscious.
One of them was a boy and the other one, a girl with long ears, It was a sign that she might be an awakener like Akane, at least that’s what they thought. They bring the two of them back to headquarters to treat them and find out more about who they were and what killed the beasts.
When the two nameless youngsters woke up, Akane went to visit them. The boy (Cid) claims to have no memories and tells Akane that he was with his sister Natsume (Beta), who was still unconscious. When everyone left the room, Cid tells Beta that she can wake up now.
Later, Cid walks outside and Akane joins him. He asks Akane why Japan was in such a deplorable condition and Akane agrees to tell him all about it.
