The Day Episode 3 will be released soon. The show has other popular alternate titles, The Kidnapping Day, The Day of The Kidnapping, and Yugwaeui Nal. It is a dark comedy-drama, which is also a mystery thriller. The story is about Kim Myung Joon, a father who is ready to surpass all limits for his daughter.

Despite being poor, he has a big heart, but it is tested over time as his daughter needs to be operated on urgently, and he is short of money. His ex-wife proposes a plan of kidnapping a young girl, heir to a rich family, and asks for ransom. His ailing daughter, Kim Myung Joon, readily agrees.

Their target is none other than an eleven-year-old girl named Choi Ro Hee. On his way to kidnap her, Myung Joon has an accident, and the victim is Choi Ro Hee, who loses her memory as a result. Kim Myung Joon pretends to be her father and takes her with him.

When he tries to get in touch with her parents, they don’t pick up his calls, persuading him to visit their house to check. On arriving, he finds their dead bodies being carried out. As if this shock was not enough for him, Ro Hee finds out the reality of Myung Joon and that he is not her father.

The Day Episode 2 Recap

The episode begins with the housekeeper finding Choi Jin Tae and his wife dead in the house. He informs the police, and Detective Park Sang Yoon arrives on the scene with a team. They notice that their daughter Ro Hee is missing and start their investigation to find her. Meanwhile, Myung Joon tries to destroy the car and mobile phone he used to eliminate all the evidence.

Ro Hee is struggling to get free from the hold of the junk collector who is trying to take her away forcibly. When Myung Joon returns home and finds Ro Hee missing, he rushes out to figure out what’s wrong and accidentally calls out Ro Hee’s real name. The junk collector puts her in a cart, and before he can get away with her, Myung Joon finds him.

The two get into a quarrel, and soon, they start fighting with all their might as Myung Joon is trying to protect Ro Hee. It instigates the man to push the cart down the slope. Myung Joon slams the man onto a shutter nearby runs to save the child, and makes the rescue in time. He thinks about how naive he was to accept the idea of kidnapping the girl for money.

When Ro Hee gains consciousness, she expresses the fear she feels of being left alone and confides in Myung Joon. On the other hand, Detective Park discovers that the house has an operation theatre, laboratory and even missing CCTV. On further investigation, they found that Jin Tae wanted to get the cameras removed.

He also booked tickets to Singapore for himself and his daughter. Myung Joon decides to surrender to the police, taking Ro Hee along. He visits the hospital to see his daughter one last time before going but finds out that the medical bills have been cleared and the operation will commence soon. This makes him change his decision.

Detective Park finds the burnt car with a phone having a sim card and finds out the calls were made to Jin Tae before his death. Myung Joon takes Ro Hee to have some street food while he talks to Hye Eun.

Ro Hee suddenly becomes unconscious, and Myung Joon rushes her to the hospital. Doctors notice the bruises on her arm and call the police. Ro Hee helps Myung Joon escape along with her and questions him about his reality.

The Day Episode 3 Preview

In the next episode, Ro Hee will ask Myung Joon to take responsibility since he kidnapped her. She will also ask him to sign an agreement with her. Meanwhile, cops will try to find them, and the two will work as a duo to escape. This will come to the notice of Park Sang-yoon that Ro Hee does not feel scared of the kidnapper.
