Darren Purchese, the British television personality, pastry chef, and author, will hunt for Australia’s Best Home Baker with the British author, broadcaster, and cook named Rachel Khoo in the seventh season of The Great Australian Bake Off. These two famous personalities will be the judges in the latest season.
The Australian YouTuber, comedian, and actress Natalie Tran will entertain you with her co-host, Cal Wilson, the New Zealand television and radio presenter, author, and stand-up comedian. Thus, some viewers will miss the two judges, Matt Moran and Maggie Beer, and the hosts, Mel Buttle and Claire Hooper, that appeared in the previous (sixth) season.
Accordingly, twelve new aspiring bakers will make delicious bakery food items to impress the judges, get away from elimination, and prove to be Australia’s best home baker. It will be fun to see how contestants from different professional backgrounds and age groups try to bag the crown of the most capable home baker.
The twelve contestants competing in the seventh season are Gavin Turner, Neil Higgins, Guillermo Urra, Felicity Dobson, Natalie Levy, Ilona Nicola, Laurent La, Galya Dissanayake, Adam Miller, Laura Foo, Reem El Daouk, and Sandra Walter.

The Great Australian Bake Off 2023 Episode 1 Preview
The seventh season will have only ten episodes like the previous ones and will last ten weeks. It is getting filmed in the famous ‘shed’ located in Sydney. As of now, we only know that the first week will be the ‘Cake Week.’ The legacy of having a theme per week has been going on for seasons in this show.
If you are a The Great Australian Bake Off fan, you will quickly remember that the same theme got set in the first week of all seasons, and the contestants ended up creating children’s birthday cake, Musical Theatre Cake, marble cake, Enchanted Fairy Book Cake, and more. However, Aaron bagged the first rank in the previous season through his ‘Scrumptious Rugby Mud Cake.’
So, the new contestants in the seventh season may face the challenge with ease if they analyze what the contestants have been doing and what the judges have been appreciating from the past seasons. However, they cannot completely rely on those statistics because we have new judges for the seventh season.
Rachel Khoo got delighted to have the opportunity. Moreover, she also mentioned that she could not wait to taste the delicious cakes made by the bakers in the series.
The average number of viewers decreased from the first to the sixth season. Meanwhile, the rating graph contains ups and downs in the case of all seasons aired to date. Thus, the first episode may get higher ratings, but let’s hope they do not get down for further ones.
