Zenless Zone Zero and Genshin Impact Nominated for Best Mobile Game at Gamescom 2026

The Gamescom Awards 2026 nominees have been revealed, and HoYoverse has secured two places in the Best Mobile Game category with Zenless Zone Zero and Genshin Impact. The two titles will compete against Arknights: Endfield, Silver Palace, and Where Winds Meet, bringing together several major Chinese-developed games for one of the event’s most competitive mobile categories.

Zenless Zone Zero’s nomination comes as HoYoverse continues to support its urban fantasy action RPG with new characters, story content, and updates. Genshin Impact, meanwhile, remains one of the biggest names in the global mobile gaming market. Their presence gives HoYoverse two chances to win the award, although the category also includes several highly anticipated and recently released competitors.

The Best Mobile Game nominees were selected as part of the Gamescom Award 2026 lineup, with the international event taking place in Cologne, Germany. The category highlights games showcased at Gamescom that have made an impression through their gameplay, technical achievements, and player appeal.

Silver Palace has emerged as another notable contender in the Best Mobile Game category. Elementa confirmed the nomination while revealing that the upcoming open-world detective action RPG has also attracted attention at Gamescom 2026 for its visuals, audio, and playable demonstration.

The game recently surpassed 10 million global pre-registrations, signaling strong interest ahead of its release. A new promotional video shown during Opening Night Live also offered a closer look at its dark fairy-tale setting, combining detective work with high-intensity combat.

Gamescom visitors can experience Silver Palace at Hall 6, Booth C021, where Elementa has set up gameplay demos, stage events, a photo zone, and other activities. The game is also developing multiplayer content for multiple platforms, including mobile, PC, and PlayStation.

With five major titles competing, the Gamescom 2026 Best Mobile Game category brings together established global hits and ambitious upcoming releases. The nominees will now compete for one of the event’s most prominent mobile gaming honors.
