A recently released Korean reality show, Young Actors’ Retreat, is a new favorite among K-drama lovers. If you wish to watch your favorite K-drama actors interact, the show is made just for you.
Young Actors’ Retreat is an entertainment program that is popularly called Cheongchun MT in Korea. Premiered on 16th September 2022, the show is already flourishing with just three episodes. Kim Seong Yoon, the South Korean director, was the first one on the team to come out with the idea for this series.
It first came to the public notice that Seong Yoon was planning something in the travel entertainment genre. Afterward, it was known that the director was planning a TV show with the cast members from the television series he had worked in.
Till now, there are three episodes released, each of 65 minutes on average. The show is mainly about actors playing games, traveling together, making new friends, and just being in the moment. The popularity of the show shows that no matter what the situation, we will always watch our favorite stars just exist and be in the moment. The next episode will be released worldwide very soon.

Young Actors’ Retreat Cast Members
Initially, the show was made as a reunion show where actors who had worked with director Seong Yoon would meet up to play games and travel around. Since they were about to cast already popular actors, the show instantly gained popularity.
Actors from the TV series “Love in the Moonlight”, “Itaewon Class”, and “The Sound of Magic” were introduced. Cast members from “Love in the Moonlight” (2016) were Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon.
From the 2020 series “Itaewon Class” team, Ahn Bo Hyun, Kwon Nara, Park Seo Joon, and Lee Joo Young were present. “The Sound of Magic” team included cast members Hwang In Youp, Ji Hye Won, Kim Bo Yoon, and Ji Chang Wook. Since the actors were already familiar with each other and Kim Seong Yoon as well, the chemistry between them seemed seamless.
Young Actors’ Retreat Recap
After the participants are all introduced, it’s time for some games, a long journey, and lots of memories. The series premiered on 9th September 2022 with the first episode ever. Expectations were really high given the well-known director and actors. The first episode was called “We Met Again”.
The locations traveled in this episode were Itaewon in Seoul and Jeonju in Jeollabukdo. The episode witnessed two old friends, Kim Bo Yun and Kim Yoo Jung, meeting after 11 years. There was also a surprise for the fans, a surprise visit from Park Bo Gum. After the three teams settled down in their villas, the games started.
In the second episode, called “It’s the first time, but it’s fun”, the participants went out to Boryeong in Chungnam, a city located near the Yellow Sea. The three teams were mixed to give the actors a better chance of meeting new people. The teams were marked by colors. The three teams, Yellow, Blue, and Red, each with a team leader, were sent to play games. Whoever wins will be awarded the best dinner.
The third episode, “A Dramatic Summer Night”, was also shot in Boryeong. This episode showed the result of the previous match. The winning team received the best dinner of all. After the results, the teams were sent off for horror training at an abandoned school. The team that lost the previous game had to face a penalty.
