With the series making a huge bash on Netflix, fans are curious to know where we’re XO and Kitty filmed. I mean, there were so many beautiful Korean locations used in the show that made an aesthetically pleasing backdrop for the spinoff. It would be so fun to visit these places and get snaps for yourself because why not?
On the show, we see that Kitty is going over to Korea in order to be with her boyfriend, Dae, whom she met on a trip to the country. We saw it in All The Boys I’ve Loved Before when Lara Jean and the Covey family were at the place their mother once walked. The second purpose, which takes Kitty to Korea, is when she is cleaning out her mother’s stuff from Nana’s house and finds an old blazer of her mother in the trunk.
It belonged to the Korean International School of Seoul, abbreviated as KISS. This is the same school where Dae is studying right now. Thus, she convinces her dad and stepmom to let her go as she has already applied and got the same scholarship as her mother. Coming right into the filming locations, let us discuss them scene by scene.

XO, Kitty Filming Locations
1. Dongdaemun Design Plaza
This is a huge design space in Korea that features halls and exhibits of art. More of the location was explored in the second episode of the show, where we see Kitty getting out of the welcome party frustrated. She had just found out that Dae already had a girlfriend, and it was none other than Yuri herself.
2. Seojangdae
This is one of the historical military locations in Korea. It was used to film the hike during which the kids go to the top of a mountain. After their obvious dispute, Yuri and Kitty decide to race up to the top, and she wins.
3. Rubik, Paradise City
This is a popular site located in Seoul which is a chill jazz lounge bar. Despite its calm nature, we saw it being used as completely opposite space in the show. It was seen when Min Ho decided to throw a raging party for all his classmates. It was also when Kitty decided to move over to Dae and start living her life. She got so drunk that night that she called the strict teacher. Also, Yuri was a DJ that night.
4. Yeongheung Island
This island was used to film the camping trip that Kitty and her classmates went on. She and Yuri lived in the same camp. It was also where we saw Dae arrange a very sweet date night with her. Pop star Ocean Park also came around here to meet with Madison.
National Library of Seoul
This place was used to film the library locations at KISS. It was majorly used when Kitty and the whole class got detention on a Saturday after they illegally partied too much and drank as well. It was when Yuri and Kitty tried to find out more about their moms and everything that they had in common.
5. Kaywon University of Art and Design
The exteriors of KISS were shot in here. It is where the whole plot takes place right from the point that Kitty enters the school, Yuri and Dae break up, and the dorms as well. Truly a breathtaking sight, the school is one of the most prestigious colleges in the country.
Independence Hall of Korea, Cheonan
At the end of the term, when Kitty had to forcefully take part in the talent show because she had considerably low grades, all the shots were taken here. The auditorium serves as a very popular site for plays and dramas, and musicals to take place in the city.
6. Incheon International Airport
Various spots from the airport were used to film the climactic scene when Kitty was boarding a flight to Portland back after she had been expelled from the school, given she was living with the guys instead of her own dorm room. It was also where Yuri got to meet the love of her life as she had finally come back to Korea, and her mother had accepted her sexuality.
