In the land of Eldoria, the Runcandel family reigns supreme as the most prestigious bloodline of sworders. Jin Runcandel, the youngest 13th-born son, was believed to be the one who would succeed the legacy of Temar, the founder and the first patriarch of the Runcandel lineage. But fate had a whole different plan for him.

Despite everyone’s high expectations of him, Jin possessed no innate talent in swordsmanship. Due to this, he was marked as a disgrace in the eyes of his family and became a source of mockery and bullying from his own siblings. Eventually, unable to bear the shame any longer, Jin is banished from the Runcandel family.

Swordmaster’s Youngest Son Chapter 73: Recap

The chapter starts with Dante, Veradin, and Jin discussing the guy impersonating Veradin. Dante is amazed at how someone could be so bold as to imitate Veradin in the land of Ziple. Jin asks Veradin what was he planning on doing about the impersonator. Veradin tells him he was considering having the special-grade mages investigate it. Jin thinks for a moment and argues that it might not be the best idea, and if it were him, he would have used the opportunity to show them in a good light in front of the media. Jin expands that if Veradin announced that the Ziple’s would be searching for the impersonator, then they would be ridiculed for falling for such cheap tricks. After talking a bit more, Jin gets up to leave, and the trio, who started as enemies, parted ways as friends.

It has been days since Chiron last received a letter from Cassimir briefing him about Jin. So he quickly opens the letter and learns of Jin becoming a six-star swordsman and of him winning in the cosmos competitive arena beating Dante Hairan, the grandson of the current patriarch of the Hairan family. He is pretty surprised at Jin’s achievements but is upset at his “friend,” Casimir, due to the letter being too brief.

But Yuria suddenly broke down crying, and her authority started going out of control. Luckily her Dragon guardian, Latrie, could calm her down, and she fell asleep. Murrakhan questioned Latrie about what did Yuria see. She said it was the past, an ancient land whose native people had closed themselves to outside civilization, only believing in the god they worshipped. Thanks to that, they could live in peace, but that was until mages came under the pretext of wanting the learn their culture. As time passed, they began exploiting the natives and turning the soil over, looking for the “godly object” they worshipped.
