Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available worldwide, bringing visual enhancements such as up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS. However, players have quickly identified a few issues that may require a future update.

Audio and New Game+ problems surface after launch

Several players have reported that the game’s revised audio mix is unbalanced. Footstep sound effects are noticeably louder than before, while battle music can become difficult to hear during combat because character voices often overpower the soundtrack.

Another issue affects New Game+. Community member Enel first reported on X (formerly Twitter) that some save files lose the third accessory slot purchased for Drivers. Other players believe the bug may be linked to claiming WP rewards from amiibo, though an official cause has not been confirmed.

Until a patch is released, players planning to start New Game+ may want to use a separate Nintendo Switch user profile as a precaution.

Despite these problems, the Switch 2 Edition remains a significant technical upgrade over the original release. Alongside sharper visuals and smoother performance, players have also discovered several quality-of-life improvements that were not widely detailed before launch. Nintendo and Monolith Soft have not yet announced whether an update addressing the reported issues is in development.
